Tripster saved me $80 for tickets. With 40 water slides $35 for a 6 and 7 year old was awesome. The grandchildren loved the wave pool. I made them wear life vests. We all had a great time.

"Really good!"
June 2019
Water Country USA was a blast! The weather was perfect and we found the rides to be very fun! The people are nice and there was absolutely no wait at any rides. The only thing was that they had 2 rides closed and the lazy river current was slower than usual, likely due to the fact that there were few people there on a school/work weekday. It was overall an amazing time!

"Long waits. Not worth the high price"

This would have been ok if our grandchildren did not have to wait 20 minutes or more for an attraction. There were not a lot of things that our 8 year old could do alone and mostly he gave up because of the long waits. We got there when it opened and had to wait in a slow line to get in even though we had bought our tickets in advance. Also, the "rides" for young children were minimal and boring. Food was expensive.

Going to a water park is all the things that everyone wrote about in other reviews. You’re subject to weather, crowds, lines, high cost food, screaming kids, too much skin, etc. Water Country is all these things at times, So I’ll focus on a few other things. The park is fun. Teens and parents can have a good time together and enjoy cooling off on a very hot day. If on a bit of a budget, keep a cooler in the car and eat a picnic early or late so you can be in the park when others are eating. Reentering parking is allowed if you keep your receipt for those who may want a mid afternoon nap or lunch elsewhere. Security: There are day lockers for rent for up to $25/day, which has one disadvantage of having to return to that spot whenever you want your things. Amazon has dry bags on a lanyard which are recommended to put a card and, if you must, your phone in. You can trust mankind and leave everything in a bag unattended (as we did successfully) but it is hit or miss if there’s a thief around. I’d suggest no phones and a little cash in a bag or use a locker. They are multi open and re-lock all day. Sun safety. There was really bad burns on some people. Set your watch on a timer. 80 minutes and reapply. It will extend your fun on the next day and help with your health. The only complaint I have was cleanliness. They aren’t bad, but also aren’t quite up to par yet. The kids complained the park smelled. The bathrooms were ok, so obviously there is cleaning going on. The pavement is super hot with long stretches that aren’t shaded, and there are no misters to cool people or feet with. Buy cheap flip flops before coming. In summary, we really enjoyed ourselves and laughed as a family all evening. Recommended.

When: August 10th thru 14th. Visited Watercountry August 11th My son loves water parks, so we bought this vacation package through BG and decided to visit watercountry usa on sunday because it was supposed to be hot and no rain. Pros: We love love love the hubba bubba highway. It was so much fun I think we went around a total of 12 times across the day. The wave pool was pretty cool besides being way overcrowded. The food wasn't bad for waterpark food. Free water cups everywhere that fountain drinks were served. Cons: Overcrowding. It was sooooo busy. Like hundreds of people in the wave pool, super long lines, very anxiety ridden. Some of the family rides are either 2 or 4 people which put a huge damper on our 3 person family vacation. Someone had to sit out most rides. Please update this policy or change the way the tubes work. *****wear watershoes. the bathrooms are gross because water and heat don't always mix and people are gross.

Great for young kids, lots of kid areas. Lots of family rides, get there early to avoid long rides and heat. Go on the big/popular rides early especially the new cutback water coaster. Don’t get tricked that the single rider line is way shorter because if only has 5 people in it rather than like a hundred in the other, because it took us an hour because they would not let you go unless the group in front of you did not weigh enough or if they did and it was only two people most of time they did not want anybody else to go with them. Also, it is not the best idea to just go for half a day because a lot of the rides did not open until like 12:00. They were also short staffed.... but overall a fun time, a good value for your money. But if you even live a few hours away It is a better Idea to get a membership/season pass.

"You are at the mercy of the weather and long lines."

Unfortunately this was our second family trip to this park that was ruined by bad weather. Certainly that is the risk you take when you go to a water park in the summer. However there were other issues that were present as well. The first trip we had rented two cabanas online, and when we got there they had mistakenly allowed other people who had rented one at the gate into the wrong section (which were the ones we had already rented). It took forever to wait for a manager and for them to move the other people to where they belonged (around two hours to get it sorted out). A short time later, it started storming and continued for the rest of the day and they closed the park. So most of our brief time there was dedicated to sorting out the problems with the cabanas. We returned at a later date (we avoided cabanas this time) and spent the vast majority of the time standing in line. We went during the week and we were there as soon as the park opened and the lines were still super long. We only did two of the bigger water slides before the park was closed for bad weather again. According to their policy online, rainy day tickets are not available for complimentary tickets, which was what we had (from our previous rained out trip). Considering we live four hours away, it is simply not worth it to ever try again. Another weird thing was the first aid stand. My son cut his finger open on a piece of metal, and got a pretty gross gash. We don't make a big deal out of little scrapes and cuts, but it was a pretty good size cut and blood was dripping off his finger, so we went to the first aid place. The only thing they offered was a band aid. We asked if we could disinfect it or something, and they shrugged and told us we could go rinse it at the bathroom if we wanted to. I didn't expect hospital level care, but you better hope you don't have any injuries there, because all they give you is band-aids and bathroom water. Where we are from, there is usually basic first aid supplies, like hydrogen peroxide or anti bacterial ointment and such (maybe requirements are different in VA...?). Overall, with the trip we just went on (the original had other problems), the main problem was just the lines keeping you from really getting to enjoy yourself, and the weather cutting the day even shorter. However, for little kids who don't have to wait in the lines for the bigger slides, it would probably be more fun since there are several neat kid pools. Otherwise, being at the mercy of the weather makes it too much of a headache to bother if you are coming from out of town.
