We are just back from an amazing stay at the Dolphin. We have been to Disney many times and this is by far the best hotel we have stayed in. Walking into the lovely reception with the beautiful water fountain . We got a lovely welcome at check in and were offered what floor we wanted so we chose 8 for a view. We had an amazing view of Hollywood Studios and at night from the restaurant we could see Epcot fireworks. The room was very spacious and we had housekeeping daily so was very clean. Many pools to choose from and they were all really nice and clean, the pool could be cleaner at times, but I appreciate the task this takes. We used Fuel a lot and had a good chose and the staff were all really friendly. We ate at the Bluezoo and the food and experience was great, our first night and the holiday had got off to a great start. Staff top class. We ate at the IL Mulino. at the Swan and it too was really good and the staff very friendly. Water taxis- fab with a lovely view of the resorts lite up at night. Buses good never had to wait too long on one and drivers really nice. I never heard any noise from neighbouring rooms or above. I highly recommend this hotel, from reading some reviews not sure where they stayed!!! And finally for not being a Disney hotel you get the perks. We went to Animal Kingdom for extended evening hours and Epcot - it was really good as not so busy. Guys keep up the amazing work you are all doing, we will definitely be back. Thank you

"Disappointed with Disney"

I reserved my room on a Wednesday night and called the resort on Friday (1 day before check-in) that my son was sick. I was told I needed a doctors note and I told her I had done a test with an at Home Kit because it was a Friday night and our doctors office was closed for the weekend, but could send them proof of the at home result. They did not accept it! They were not accommodating or sympathetic at all. If my son would have felt better, I asked if I should have gone to the resort with him sick and the reservation person told me that that was my prerogative! If they were not going to return my money, the least he could’ve done was offered me a credit for a future stay, but did not even do that. It is obvious that the resort is not willing to protect the other guest when a responsible parent calls and explains that their child was sick. Horrible experience, will not be booking at a Disney resort again! By the way, I have probably booked at least 25 times at Disney resorts in the past, but this experience now leaves a my family horrible taste! UPDATE: I got a email from the Front Desk Manager saying a review company line of “your feedback has been shared with our leadership team for review, and we will use it to improve how we handle sensitive situations like this in the future”. So their treatment towards me will help them improve how they treat others in the future? What a joke!!!

"Would recommend to families seeking to enjoy all things Disney from a great location!"

Our stay at the Walt Disney Dolphin resort formed the first six days of a multi-stay vacation (we went on to stay at the Portofino in Orlando and the Marriott Harbor Beach and Spa in Fort Lauderdale) and despite being the cheapest of the three hotels, was the most enjoyable. Check in was easy (albeit on a hectic 4th July arrival) and though the room was basic and the view could have been better (we overlooked the coach port) everything ran smooth. We loved the location, the boardwalk, the walks into Epcot and the Studios and the shuttles laid on to everywhere else Disney. From the room to room service to parking, everything was cheaper than the other places we stayed and, unlike them, we encountered no issues, other than problems parking one morning when the hotel was hosting a large dance competition. It certainly wasn’t inconvenient enough to stop us wholeheartedly recommending this hotel for families looking to make the most of the Disney experience.

"House keeping Problems"

My experience at this property was unfortunately marked by a serious issue regarding guest belongings. After checking out, I returned approximately six hours later upon realizing that a recently acquired collectible case was missing. I have reason to believe it may have been removed by housekeeping staff during room cleaning. Despite multiple efforts to seek clarification and assistance from hotel personnel, no one was able to provide a meaningful response or demonstrate accountability. The lack of transparency and support was deeply disappointing, particularly given the value and sentiment attached to the item. I sincerely hope management improves both their protocol for handling items left behind and their commitment to follow-through when guests raise concerns. This experience fell short of the standard I expected from a hotel of this profile. ---

"Horrible experience"

We've stayed here in prior years, and it's only good for the location. This past trip from late November 2024 through the first week of December 2024 was a nightmare. The room they gave us was musty and the furnace didn't work. It was really cold during the days we were there and the room was freezing. It also smelled of mold. After contacting maintenance after the first night because we couldn't sleep from the temp of the room being so cold, a young man who didn't really speak English showed up, looked at the furnace, didn't do much of anything (I watched him the entire time), then told me it was fixed and left. That night, nothing changed and we were freezing and couldn't sleep again. The next day I complained, and a supervisor for maintenance showed up, took the furnace apart and then told us to demand a new room. Front desk said they were fully booked and couldn't switch our rooms. After wasting most of that day complaining, we were now on day 3 of our trip, hardly any sleep and my daughter and I were now getting sick from the cold room and obvious black mold in the room. They then miraculously found us a new room, and we switched. We lost a bunch of days of our vacation, now switching rooms, and both sick from that dirty room with a broken furnace, even though we were told by the first maintenance guy it was fixed. When I complained further to the front desk due to loss of time to enjoy our vacay and now being sick, the employee went into the back for about 15 mins then came out and said their manager said they were remove the resort fee for those three days. What a joke and a slap in the face. The entire trip was ruined, I spent $5k on a debacle of the stay at this resort and my daughter being allergic to mold ended up having to go to a hospital once we got home because the illness she contracted while in that first moldy, broken furnace room just got worse. I was lucky to finally get over my illness shortly after returning home. I've thought about contacting an atty and taking legal action, but I'd rather put this experience behind us. This review is just to warn others. Location is great, the hotel and it's staff are subpar. Think long and hard before booking here. The money you might save compared to Boardwalk or Yacht/Beach Club might not be worth it when this hotel ruins your entire trip with incompetent staff and shady business practices.
