Description

V-U2 An Immersive Concert Film offers a one-of-a-kind cinematic experience exclusively at Sphere. Directed by Morleigh Steinberg and The Edge, this concert film showcases the groundbreaking U2:UV show that played to over 700,000 fans from across 100+ countries during 40 sold-out performances from September 2023 through March 2024. V-U2 allows audiences to feel as if they are part of the live shows, enhancing the connection to U2's music and performance.

This film is the first ever shot entirely with Big Sky, a revolutionary ultra-high-resolution camera system developed by Sphere Entertainment. Using multiple Big Sky cameras, the film captures U2 at an extraordinary scale, sharpness, and clarity. V-U2 employs Sphere’s immersive technologies, including a 160,000-square-foot display plane featuring a stunning 16k x 16k resolution—the highest in the world.

Experience Sphere Immersive Sound, powered by HOLOPLOT, which ensures crystal-clear audio for every seat. Additionally, haptic seats provide vibrations that allow guests to 'feel' the action. These innovative technologies combine in V-U2 to create a truly unique concert experience, reinforcing the sensation of being at a live U2 performance.

Postcards From Earth. PLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Yes, the outside of the Sphere is a brilliant spectacle and with its continuously changing graphics is great to watch ...and is FREE. Inside the Sphere and the show itself is incredibly boring. The AI robots are gimmicky and the show itself is not worth the money you pay ($114 each in our case) The experience you get using a VR headset is head and shoulders over the Sphere experience. The graphics are not great quality in places and the story is patronising, depressing and particularly hypocritical for an energy sapping LED globe in the desert. As an added layer of disappointment. If you are in a wheelchair you pay the same as everyone else, but get stuck up on a platform on level 7 with no option for a haptic seat (reduced experience) no impact from the 'wind' (reduced experience and you can see the frame around the outside of the screen (reduced exoerience)....but you pay the same?? So disappointing. Guest Services are not interested either. So much for a cutting edge and progressive attraction. Spend your money on anything else.

Hard to put into words it's not just a venue it's an unbelievably fantastic experience. If you are already planning a trip to Vegas you should definitely book at least one event there.

We paid over $100 for a 50 minute show about the earth that you could watch on TV or YouTube. Maybe other shows would be worth it but the price on the portraits of the earth show should be reduced.
