"Very Disappointed This Stay"

We were supremely disappointed on our recent stay. We booked a parlor suite and requested a high floor. We even call a few days before and spent quite a bit of time on the phone with house reservations. This was our second stay, October and May and we also stayed at the Encore in June 2024 as well. One would think we would be valued customers, but we were not. We were greeted by a front desk person when we arrived by their arranged car service. Our room wasn't ready as it was a little early. We went over our requests and they confirmed what we had asked for. When they didn't text or call, I went back to see how long it would be. I was then told they had a room the 8th floor, I had asked for a floor 54 or above (50th is a smoking floor). Or they could give us a room on a smoking . floor that would be higher. It is in our profile that we need to be far from smoke. The receptionist kept saying "absolutely" to everything I said. So annoying! She left off the word NOT so absolutely not was more like it. I told her that. We accepted the 8th floor for 7 nights. A manager did come out and said she would give me her card for future visits. I said no need we will not return to this hotel. We spent over 25,000 on the 3 visits in 2024. They don't care about pleasing you it's all about the money. Our suite was OK, couldn't see the sphere as well as a high floor, but service was good. The smell of pot, like on our previous visits is strong in the hallways from time to time. That and the casino/lobby area doesn't have good filtration. Our friends noticed this in October and it was really bothersome. I asked if we could get a late checkout, just an extra hour because of our flight and the answer was NO. You have to do it the day of so you don't know till then. Everything is on a recorded line, someone should listen to the way they speak to guests. It's appalling. The pool area for tower suite guests is nice. That is if you can get a chair. We asked and they said just come down, no reserving allowed. That is unless you want to give them money to hold chairs. We went early and 10 chairs had magazine or reserved signs on them. People straggled out a good hour + later one by one. They took some of them, some were left vacant. There are not a lot of lounge chairs in this area so for someone to take 10 is a lot. We met the man who did it and he said he always does it when he stays at the Wynn and gives them money. This needs to be addressed by management. So unfair. Service at the pool is good and food expensive. We tip the people for bringing water setting up lounge chairs but not to save them. That just isn't right or fair to others. Tower suite pool has umbrellas which are needed in the intense heat. Cabanas are outrageously expensive and the lily pad lounges at the other pools are equally overpriced. Umbrellas are in short supply or non-existent at some of the pools. Food is good, but one day we tried to order and the girl lost our ticket. She went to find it and when got back several minutes later she said they had changed the menu. She argued with us when we said if you hadn't lost our ticket we would have ordered in time. She did us a big favor by asking the chef at our request if we could have items from the menu that is now not available. She took no responsibility for her error. We are going back to Vegas in November but not staying here because of the way we were treated. I must say our friend who were with us in October and didn't have a tower room could not sleep with noise from either the nightclub or outside. Same thing for other friends at the Encore Regular rooms. So keep that in mind as well as smoke in the common areas and their downright uncaring, unappreciative attitude.

"A 5 Star Luxury Resort not to be missed!!!"
TripAdvisor user rating 5.0 out of 5
Reviewed August 05, 2025 NEW
Loved the Wynn, stayed there last week in the Tower Suites section. Have visited before but it's been many years. This is a genuine 5 Star Luxury Resort. Arrived to a private valet and hotel check in. Beautiful room on the 27th floor facing the Strip (amazing). Large room, 660 sq ft, top notch bed, furnishings, bathroom with large tub, shower, private toilet area, lush amenities. All automated, Alexa and a private iPad to operate everything in the room from the window shades to the TV. Absolutely spectacular. Private elevators, and lounge. Lovely drinks at lounge, top notch servers, kudos to both Dana and Angela for making my stay so perfect. Beautiful and delightful ladies. Pool area almost 2nd to none, not super huge, but beautiful set up with gardens, cabanas and several styles of pools with enough space to have comfort and luxury. Loads of TOP notch restaurants, ate at the Buffet (separate review to follow). Plenty of lounges all around the property. Bar Parasol and Overlook are amazing. Lake of Dreams facing the Strip, lovely. Casino, beautifully furnished, not huge, but plenty big enough, spaced well and elegant. Good selection of slots and table games. The entire property bleeds elegance. It's like a home away from home. Yes, it can be expensive at times but I received an amazing rate that included extra features. Absolutely a perfect stay, I hated to leave!! Sitting in the room it was so comfortable sitting by the full size windows facing the Strip, it was pure relaxation. I mainly like to go out and walk the Strip but here I felt like I could have stayed there, and not left, and still had a perfect time. Clean areas all around, no trash at all. Excellent maid service. They say that are "refreshing" your room as opposed to making it up!! SUPERB. Rooms are super quiet, heavy doors to keep out noises. Hallways always clean, as well as elevators. Unique art and furnishing all over the resort, hallways, elevator banks and rooms. Steve Wynn the designer..(and in my opinion, a genius) knows how to do it!! Forget all the other news about him recently, this is the man who remade Vegas. And this resort is a testament to his brilliance. I will be back in 2026 and def staying either here or his sister property the Encore. Can I quibble a little, this one thing, when I valet the car, I was told by the outside service since it was quiet, the bags would be delivered in 5 minutes. Well, that didn't happen, after about 20 I had to make a call, and they were quickly delivered in less than 10 by Carlos, a magnificent employee. So great, we chatted for about 20 minutes about the resort and Vegas history and Steve Wynn. He even had the courtesy go and fill my ice bucket for me. Brilliant service!! Oh, did I also mention in the Tower Suites, 2 services, including turndown. Plus a breakfast credit!! Free valet parking staying in the Tower Suites. I could go on, but I won't, let me just say if you want a luxury resort, whether you are single, as I am, a couple, or even a group, you can't beat this property. It's an All in One Luxury Resort. Location is a bit North, but just across from TI and Palazzo so def in the resort corridor. I want to commend everyone I met there who helped me and especially Carlos, Dana and Angela since I had more commuinication with them and they were all amazing. And to the Wynn Resort itself, I was super excited to revisit, and loved every minute of it. Highly recommended to all!! See you again in 2026.

"Vegas Has Become One Big Dirty Extra Charge from a Former Fan"

I gave plenty of money and was willing to gamble when I booked suites for my family. But that’s not the point. The point is when The Wynn wanted $200 for an umbrella and chair, I decided never to stay at a Wynn related property again. I don’t mind spending big bucks but I also don’t want to be nickle-dimed. I used to be an avid Vegas fan. Ill just do my gambling on line and go to resorts elsewhere that don’t try to pick your pocket after you pay for their high-priced room. An the so-called supper show. Over-priced and both the food and entertainment was mediocre. Do yourself a favor and stay away from Wynn properties. Or better yet avoid Vegas altogether. It’s not the same. It’s a corporate conglomerate that was better in the mob days.
