"Wizard of Oz show"

We had been at The Sphere the second weekend it opened for U2. There were robots and all sorts of staff everywhere the first time we went. Walked in via The Venetian then too. Much different experience this time. Had to walk down Sands Ave and enter it from the outside. Lots of slower security this time, not as much staff everywhere. But still awe inspiring! The show was phenomenal, we really enjoyed it. $7 for water or soda, $14 for beer so be ready for that. Highly recommend you go to something at The Sphere just to experience the venue.

"The Wizard of Oz Show is Spectacular"

This was well worth the cost and hassle of getting to the place. It is sort of in the middle of nowhere off the strip and is not particularly walkable. The monorail even zips past it. The closest hotel is the Palazzo portion of the Venetian. Plan on taking an Uber which they are well set up for. People arrive early for the show to stand in line at least by an hour. I found the entrances confusing and obscure. It is not spectacular on the outside. Think of a stadium in an industrial office park. But once inside the scale of the space blows you away. It is massive. There was plenty of help to find your seat. The aisles are steep and narrow. It seemed to be a challenge for elderly patrons. The total immersion experience is incredibly effective. The Wizard of Oz movie has been cut back to 75 minutes which actually seems about right. You will notice the odd AI effects of the characters who look like plastic mannequins. But the sound is magnificent, and there are a lot more visuals added in from the original 1939 movie. Beware, drinks and other things purchased there are astronomical and not worth it. Wait until after the show. It is not very long. Getting out after the show can be arduous. We walked to The Palazzo for dinner reservations.

"Show was AWESOME, the entrance experience not so much"

The Wizard of Oz was incredible. BUT the whole get there early was not so great. They tell you the importance of getting there early and so you get there early along with everyone else. They tell you the doors open at a certain time, so it appears we all want to be there when doors open, which means getting there earlier than time stated. Well don't bother, there are no easy places to wait, and then everyone crowds the doors AND unless you have VIP tickets the only entrances are up steep steps, because the Venetian Inn didn't have their bridge open that day (not sure why). As to what to see in the lobby, again limited and everyone crowds around the few exhibits. Also the stairs to the seats are very steep and dark, so be careful and wear comfortable shoes. So if you are going, go early but don't worry about getting there before the doors open--our guess is that if we had waited to arrive after the doors open it would have been a better experience. We attended the first show of the evening--not sure how the second show is handled. Would ask --why not open the lobby up earlier as we were all staring down the staff -- that may benefit the inside vendors because it would allow more people to actually shop for merchandise.... Should mention the staff we did interact with were all nice-so not their fault about the wait. Also just completed the Sphere's survey and there was no space to make these comments to them directly, otherwise I would have skip this long dialog. The show is definitely worth it, but the wait to get in was definitely NOT.

"Wish I had bought better seats"

We saw the Zac Brown Band at the Sphere on January 9. The show itself was awesome, and we are so glad we went. I wish I had researched more about the seats however. We were in section 108 and there is an overhang, so we didn't get the full effect of being in the Sphere. We were close to the stage, so I kept reminding myself to focus on the concert itself, but was bummed to miss most of the video experience. I would recommend getting higher seats. Even though you are further from the stage, you will see the full dome.

Something you need to experience! We saw the Wizard of Oz and it was an experience. I would recommend if you have vertigo or are afraid of heights not to be so high up. The seats are pretty steep when u go up high into the 400s section. The show is in your face and the effects feel like you are in it!
