    "Great night at Teatro Martini"
    March 2020
This was a fun night from beginning to end, and the players were extremely friendly interacting with the audience. The show itself was hilarious and exciting and the food was pretty good too. Some acts such as the magic and the hula hoop performance were unreal!

"Reservation problems, unorganized; no employee even wanted to be there."

I called the Teatro Martini office at 5p.m. on Wednesday March 18th at 5p.m. to se if their show was still going on in 2 hours. The person on the phone said yes, the Martini show was still being performed that evening in Orlando. Went to the website, paid for the upgraded tickets, got dressed up, and drove to the location. When arrived, the entire Martini complex was closed. Walked over to the Pirate Dinner (same company) explained what happened, and none of the teenage people at the front desk had a clue - one asked if I had booked in California. Nobody wanted to take any responsibility & frankly could have cared less. They said I could possibly get a refund in 4-6 weeks form the company, or I could just do the Pirate Dinner as a substitute (since they were only at 20% occupancy). So we decided to do the Pirate, since we were dressed and already there. Had photos taken by the "photographer" and when we viewed them online they were photos of another family. Called the photography place, but never received a response. Dinner was fine, although the servers obviously were in a terrible mood & just did the basics. After the show, the employees even closed the gift shop so nobody could buy a t-shirt (basically saying, get out, we don't care). I understand the corona situation - then close completely. Do not do a 10% effort job while still charging people substantial money. This was totally crazy & showed a total lack of pride in work and professionalism. Even when the corona virus is finished, I would never even think of going to any of their dinner shows.

We ate at a restaurant before the show and opt to just pay the show price which included 2 Beers or sodas. The show was very entertaining and well worth the price. There was something for everyone and the staff was exceptional with service and friendliness.

Getting in was easy (Orlando traffic not so much...LOL - We live on the Florida east coast so had about an hour drive during Orlando rush hour (not so pleasant). We were there about 6pm for the 7pm show. No big line as some other reviewers stated. No line to get to our table either. The food was pretty good (I wouldn't expect Cordon Bleu food either). The wait staff (who also participate in the show) were certainly NOT slow as some others have said. I would have called the wait staff service very good also. I think the theater needs a better sign out front as it is behind a pirates attraction on Carrier Road, so was not immediately obvious where it was when our GPS said that we had arrived. Parking in their lot will cost $8. Once you check in they give you a ticket to validate as you leave the parking lot.

Valentine special for 99$. The teller opened at 6:45 PM. We were only about 50th from the front of the line and still waited in line for about 45 minutes. There was a sign at the teller that highlighted it would not be possible due to a sold out performance. The doors opened on time at 7PM. My wife was given a beautiful red rose and were taken to our seats. We shared a long table with 8 other guests. I would have expected a little privacy. The champagne was ordered and 10 minutes later our the Tomato soup was served. That was OK tasted like a rosee spaghetti sauce. We finished our soup and finally we were served a cheap bubbly white wine labeled "American Champagne".Then we waited for about an hour before the soup plate was removed, during which I ordered 2 "Love Potion" martini's. They tasted like red cherry jello. Not sure if there was any Vodka in them. The show finally started around 9 PM while my pork Dinner was being served. It tasted OK but the portion was small. My wife had the 1/4 chicken and that was easily 4 time larger. The show was a little cheesy but OK. It made us laugh. Near the end of the show we were served a Cheese Cake dessert that was also OK. The show ended at Around 11 PM instead of 9:30 PM. A good thing that we did not have other plans. It took forever to get out check so we could pay. and make our way the adjacent Jewel piano bar. Music was OK, so we stood around cocktail table for a few minutes and left. This was a Comedy / Talent Show. No Magic here.
