This stay was such a welcome surprise. We stayed one night so that my niece and her friend could go to Halloween Horror Nights at Universal. My sister and I stayed back at the hotel and waited for their return, so we spent a lot of time at Hotel Landy checking the place out. The Landy is so pretty! The remodel on the old Crowne Plaza is so well done. It’s cute and current, bright and elegant. We loved the decor throughout. Our connecting rooms were spotless, spacious, and well appointed. The beds were very comfortable. Lots of outlets were available for charging. There were even real ceramic coffee mugs, which is so rare now. Every single employee who we interacted with was nothing short of wonderful — another true rarity in today’s world. From the valet, to Steve at the pool bar, everyone was kind, accommodating, gracious, welcoming. We were bowled over! They have really hired truly good people and someone has trained them very well on customer service and satisfaction. It SHOWS! Not one person was unpleasant or indifferent in any way, and we talked to a lot of people. It made us so happy. This hotel is so close to Universal, and with free parking and a budget price, this is truly a gem of a hotel. We will definitely be back! Thank you, Hotel Landy! 👏👏👏

The air conditioning broke in the entire hotel around 3pm yesterday. Here it is, 9am the next morning and our room is still 77 degrees. We have complained twice to the front desk (including an hour and a half ago, when they said they'd send someone right up) and they're pretending everything is fine. 18 hours in Orlando, Florida heat in early September with no air conditioning. And we're paying top dollar for this experience.

The hotel was listed as a 4 stars hotel, but it is not worthy of one star. It is outdated, dirty and broken. The room we were assigned had a leaky toilet tank, a leaking pipe behind the wall, caused the sofa bed to be soaked. The room's smoke detector is missing, which is a clear fire safety violation. After we were put in a different room, we found out the wall was paper thin, I can hear the people next door loud and clear even though they weren't being actually loud. The front staffs are frauds. I was told we are entitled a $15 voucher each day we stayed there to spend on anything in the hotel. However, when we checked out, the amount we spent was not fully compensated. After alerted the staff, the person said she will refund the difference and email me a new receipt. But the new receipt charged me even more, she added the $15 as destination fee as charges rather than refund. When I called, she basically said we wouldn't have been charged that if we spent the entire $15 voucher, since we didn't, it became a charge. What kind of garbage is this? So, we were punished for not spending the voucher. They charge $35 per day for overnight parking which is ridiculous, most hotels nearby offer free parking. Do not ever book this place, it is filthy and run by scam artists. Stay away.
