I want to say thank you to all of the staff of SBOH, especially Kristina! My grandson and I came down Thursday evening and were exhausted and ready to check in and go get a bite to eat and relax. We visit the SC coast a LOT, but we had never stayed here before, but a google search led us to this location, and I was very impressed. We came to town to attend a funeral in Georgetown on Friday for my brothers girlfriend of 24 years. Plus, my grandson had broken his foot while playing basketball the day before we came down. He is 14 and was wearing a boot and on crutches. I explained to Kristina our situation, and she put us in a room that my grandson could at least see the beach and the pier from our balcony. We were very impressed with the cleanliness, and the quietness of our room. Our room had all the necessities needed, and a few extras. At the desk, Kristina was absolutely amazing and listened to me and was kind and understanding. She also gave us a box of saltwater taffy before going to our room, which was a nice little treat. After checking in and unloading car, we went to the little pizza place in the parking lot, and they give a 10% discount if you show your room key. The pizza was amazing also! I have already shared our experience with other family members and a few friends, and we will be back soon. We will make this a regular place to stay as we do go to the beach a lot throughout the year and to visit my brother. We were impressed with everything that you had to offer, but I want management to know that it had been a rough week, and a tiring ride down, and Kristina made me feel special and that I actually mattered! THANK YOU!

This hotel is always clean and in a great location!! The staff (for the most part-only came across one hotel clerk that was not) so friendly, helpful and always willing to help. The rooms are great, a little smaller than other hotels, but clean, updated and you can see the ocean from every room. The price is right! Did not hear any "unwanted" noises. The coffee in the lobby is a nice treat as well. You can't beat the location!!

We recently stayed at Surfside Oceanfront Resort in Surfside Beach, South Carolina, and it exceeded our expectations in every way. Location: Absolutely perfect. Direct oceanfront with stunning views of the beach and Surfside Pier, and close to everything in the area. Atmosphere: Warm, welcoming, and relaxed. The Valentine’s Day surprise of a red rose for my wife and saltwater taffy set the tone immediately. The historic photographs displayed throughout the hotel add charm and a wonderful sense of coastal nostalgia. Rooms: Modern, beautifully furnished, and spotless. Our balcony view of the ocean and pier was unforgettable. The bed was extremely comfortable, and everything felt fresh and updated. Cleanliness: Immaculate throughout the property. Noise Level: Surprisingly quiet for an oceanfront location. We enjoyed peaceful nights and restful sleep. Service: Friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful from check-in to departure. Amenities & Value: Excellent value for a true oceanfront experience with quality accommodations and thoughtful touches. We were truly impressed and will absolutely return.

The location is right on the beach, which is the most attractive feature. The staff is extremely helpful. I appreciate this because I have been to many hotels where the front desk is lacking. The front desk is to be commended highly. There are several restaurants within walking distance. We only went to one, but got the sense they are more like fast food - burger, Mexican, and fried food places with a beach vibe. There is no fitness center, and that is a bit of a disappointment. The photos made the hotel look newer and sleeker than it actually is. It is an aging hotel. The odors of the hotel include musty odors, together with too much fragrance to compensate. If you want a good reference, then think of something like a Red Roof on the beach.
