"Overall okay"
September 2019
We were overall satisfied but did find that the bathtub was not clean upon our arrival. Also, there were a couple of lights over one of the beds & another in the bathroom. On one day a maintenance worker banged on our door because he had a work order that said our ac was leaking water on the floor but we weren't having a problem at all, he had the wrong room! The parking lot was full so we had to park across the street the majority of our stay. Overall we were happy with the accommodations. We had ocean front, great access to pools & housekeeping left us alone as we requested. We also had beautiful weather!

Tip: Go prepared to pay additional money upon check-in. If I had not looked ahead of time I would have been shocked that I had to pay an additional $138 upon check-in.

Rooms were clean and actually works great. Had to turn it up when we checked in they worked so well. Multiple pools that are very clean and the resort is directly on the beach for an added bonus.

My family and I were all going to stay at the Caravelle Resort. Due to the hurricane that damage part of the resort, one of the rooms we booked was unavailable. The manager was nice enough to give my family options on our rooms. It all worked out for the best.

From the outside, this place looks a little questionable. The walkways and outer paint are definitely older and quite dingy. But our room looked to have been recently updated, and the accommodations were quite nice. Our room was comfortable, although our A/C struggled to keep up and I wasn't able to cook bacon on the stove without setting the smoke alarm off (it wasn't smoky, there was just no ventilation and the smoke detector was right above the stove). The elevators were tricky - they were constantly running and almost always full. We waited for 20 minutes on the morning of checkout to get an elevator that we could fit our luggage cart onto. But the front desk staff was friendly, and I could tell that the other staff was working hard to keep common areas clean. No daily housekeeping was a struggle because the floors get sandy and you have no way to clean them. We had a good visit, but I think we'll check out other places for our next trip.

So far my stay isn’t going so well, I’m waiting for my room for a while after I specifically requested an early check in. I’ve seen at least 5 couples come and get their rooms right away no problem. I wasn’t even greeted from the front counter nor offered any refreshments being we drove a while a way to get here. The reception area is very dirty, the ottoman has stains all over it. I wonder what the rest of the stay will be like. Crossing my fingers and hoping things can get better. Oh and parking does suck here

Horrible experience! The only good part was the convenience of being a few steps away from the beach but with so many options nearby NOT worth it at all. Within the first 5 minute encounter with the front desk I was so disappointed at myself for not purchasing the $32 cancellation waiver. We requested an early check in (we know not guaranteed) but the front desk made us feel completely unwelcomed and we waited over two hours for our room with our one year old twins. The lady in the front desk suggested we take a walk in warm humid 90 degree weather. I’d suggest some training in customer service. We booked this hotel based on what I’m sure were paid for fake and misleading reviews. We booked an ocean view room and were told that this part of the hotel had just been renovated, FALSE! And I could only wonder what the rest of the hotel looks like. The room was dated and far from clean. We also came across a huge roach just outside of our room. We tried using the phone in the room to request towels but that did not work. We called the hotel from our personal phones but after being on hold trying to connect to the front desk for our 20 minutes we gave up. Bottom line is customer service is nonexistent and this hotel is dirty and has a funky smell. I must say they have a great marketing team. The pictures and reviews are all very deceiving.

I am not picky and didn't have huge expectations staying at a budget beachside resort, but I would never book at this hotel again. After we unpacked our bags in our room, we looked under the bed to find a USED BLOODY TAMPON! We were totally grossed out and immediately called the supervisor to get it resolved. We waited 45 minutes for someone to show and nobody ever did. We decided to go out and explore and get groceries and came back a few hours later to find that it was still there. I was beyond furious! They then sent somebody to clean it up. It goes to show how well they actually clean the rooms and didn't care to clean it up immediately. We also had to call multiple times and go way out of our way to get towels replaced. We were given a note on how to replace the towels since they were not offering normal room service (unbeknownst to us at booking), and still couldn't get towels whenever we requested. The entire hotel was dirty as well. Mold growing on the door (shown in picture), trash left overnight outside peoples room, filthy elevators, and I could go on and on. On top of that, I was searching for a luggage cart at 5am before check out thinking there would be plenty. When I could not find one the front desk clerk told me that I should looking through the parking garage and search the entire hotel myself because guests dont return them. Who exactly maintains the hotel property? This is only the tip of the iceberg on the problems we encountered with our stay. It was obvious that the staff didn't care at all about the guests and and they had no motivation to fix any issues.

"Pretty Good Stay"

We just recently returned from our stay at this hotel. The staff and front desk are very friendly. There is no daily housekeeping but getting towels and our trash picked up was pretty quick and easy. Our room was very nice, updated and clean. The oceanfront view was beautiful. Great location right on the beach. The pool area, while crowded, was nice also and the water was clean and heated! The elevators did take awhile and parking isn’t ideal but that isn’t enough to keep us from coming back. We would definitely stay again. Thank you for a lovely time!
