"It was so gross, we left after checking in"

Last night of our honeymoon road trip.. husband booked this place on a budget (without reading reviews) since he wanted beach front. Even in terms of budget motels this was bad.. The front desk advertised "cheap beer sold here" may have been my first clue. Lobby was crowded even late at night, clientele was very drunk and low class, flirting with hotel security as we walked in. Determined to have a good honeymoon, since it was past midnight just figured we'd go to sleep and it'd be fine at the beach tomorrow. Room was filthy, smelly, stains in the sheets. Mattress felt ancient, pillows were so lumpy. I changed into my pajamas while husband went back to garage to place the parking pass. He came back to find my examining all the stains in the bed. Thankfully he could tell how creeped out I was, and after witnessing the filth himself, offered to book somewhere else. That's a big deal coming from my husband as he's very frugal. We turned around and left, not even wanting to ask for a refund if we had to spend one more minute in that place (first time we ever left a hotel after checking in). I threw out my socks that had touched the carpet. We drove 2 hours to a Holiday Inn and I never have been so thankful to sleep in a Holiday Inn in my life.

**Hotel Review—Honest and Simple** I had a good stay at this hotel and would recommend it for travelers looking for a comfortable, affordable place to stay with a few things to keep in mind. **What I liked:** The price was reasonable, especially for what you get. The room was clean, and it looked like it had been updated recently, which was a nice surprise. The staff were friendly and helpful every time I interacted with them. The hotel is in a quiet area, so it was easy to relax and get a good night’s sleep. **What could be better:** The hotel is definitely older, and while they’ve done some updates, it still has that dated feel in some spots. There are only two small pools—one inside and one outside—so don’t expect a big resort vibe. Also, it’s a bit of a bummer that they charge a daily fee for parking, especially when there's plenty of space. Some areas of the property look unused and could really benefit from a refresh or being turned into something useful for guests. **Bottom line:** The hotel offers a clean, quiet stay at a fair price with friendly staff and updated rooms. While the property could use some improvements and better use of space, it meets the needs of a comfortable and hassle-free visit.

This place is extremely run down. We booked an ocean view room and didn’t get that. We found blonde hair on our bed and the floor was soaked with water. If you want a nice vacation do not stay here. They charge you an additional $150 once you arrive and charge you for parking. This was the worst place.

"Beautiful view BUT…"

Nice oceanfront room with beautiful view. Warned that power would be out for 30 minutes for maintenance but it lasted 3 hours. Had to walk down in pitch dark hallways and stairwells without any emergency lighting. Not compensated for extreme danger and inconvenience. No housekeeping service for three days that we stayed. Didn’t receive fresh towels until 4:00 pm. Other than these issues , beach was lovely, good location.

Just was there 3 days ago. Rooms and hotel clean enough. Seen no bugs anywhere in hotel. Can get blankets at front desk. Plenty of towels etc. Great location.
