This was our first time taking a Dolphin Cruise and the experience was fun, interesting, and entertaining. We went out on the Sea Thunder from Little River SC. We were not disappointed with anything about the experience. The boat was large and felt very safe. The Skipper of the Sea Thunder was Kenny and his first mate was Katie. They were both so knowledgeable and entertaining and really made our 2 hour excursion fun. AND..........we did see dolphins, and lots of them!!! At one point, about 2 miles out into the Atlantic, we had dolphins surfacing and even jumping several feet into the air, on every side of the Sea Thunder. We also got to see a bald eagle on our way back into the dock. And Kenny made sure that we all got to see it. This cruise was a complete success and we highly recommend it. The price was extremely reasonable and they even offer some discounts!!

We had the most incredible and memorable experience on this excursion! I lost count of how many dolphins we saw! The tour guides made it so much fun and were so entertaining. My 5 yr old said it was the best day of his life! I know we’ll all be talking about this experience for many years to come. Highly recommend and can’t wait to do it again!

We’ve been to Myrtle Beach several times over the past several years. We’d considered doing the dolphin tours before but never actually went. This time we decided to book it! So naturally we headed off to Groupon to look for deals and found a great one that gave us $30+ off of our booking. It was easy as pie to book through the tour website with the codes given by Groupon. We arrive to the location to board and was shown to a parking lot by a super sweet older gentleman. We walk from parking about 75 yards or so to the restaurant (Hurricane Juels) where they give you your boarding pass. You’re split into groups and board according to your group number. Before boarding, one of the staff snaps a photo of your party (not your entire group number), which you can buy after you return (which we did, it was mounted onto a wooden plaque and we couldn’t pass up a good family photo). Upon boarding, the staff were very helpful, directed patrons to sit anywhere they wanted on the front or back of the large boat. We ended up getting lucky and got the very front seats. Once everyone is loaded, the captain gives a short speech on safety and what to expect on the trip. They back out into the giant river (ironically named Little River) and coasts down until we’re out of the ‘No Wake Zone’ - then kicks it up a few notches in speed and boy was that nice! The wind blowing in your hair (beware if you wear a hat!) as you speed along the river. Eventually you make it to the jetty’s and into the open ocean. We’ve never been in a boat on the ocean before so that was a surreal experience in itself. We catch up with the shrimp boat that was radioing the captain to let them know that they saw plenty of dolphins swimming behind them. Our captain was awesome, after spotting the dolphins, he made sure to switch sides to make sure both sides of the boat passengers can see them. My wife was more entranced by seeing an actual shrimp boat up close after seeing them in some of her favorite movies (Forrest Gump, Peanut Butter Falcon…). We also saw some smaller boats fishing for sharks. Though we didn’t see any sharks on this trip. After a while on the ocean, we turn back to head back to the docks. I won’t bore you with specifics about that other than I was just enjoying the wind blowing on my face. Overall, it was an awesome experience that I’m glad we were able to take our kiddos on. If you have the opportunity, take it.

My 10 year old son and I did a cruise in 2022 and didn't see any dolphins so this was a return cruise. It was a hot and sunny morning so we weren't sure if we'd see many, but once we got out in the ocean we saw a ton. It was so fun, we hope to go again!
