This awe-inspiring attraction houses 11 carefully curated galleries and exhibits showcasing a cross-section of saltwater and freshwater environments from around the world, starting with species from Toronto’s backyard, the Great Lakes basin.

Canadian Waters: The Canadian Waters gallery takes you on a coast-to-coast journey through freshwater wilds, local fisheries, and kelp forests. Along the way, you’ll see more than 80 aquatic species, learn about invasive grass carp, and visit the giant Pacific octopus. From the Great Lakes — which account for 20% of the world’s freshwater — to the three oceans surrounding the coasts, it’s no wonder Canada’s marine habitats are home to such a variety of flora and fauna!

Rainbow Reef: Be swept away to an inviting oasis at Rainbow Reef! An explosion of color mesmerizes in this vibrant collection of tropical fish.

Dangerous Lagoon: An exhilarating experience you will never forget! Begin in an underwater tunnel, weaving through the gallery to see the home of many different species of sharks.

Discovery Centre: Pop into the underwater viewing bubbles to get a closer look at the Pufferfish and Clownfish, and be sure to touch a "living fossil in the Horseshoe Crab touch pool. While in the Discovery Centre, enjoy a quick bite to eat at Ripley's Cafe.

Ray Bay: Watch with wonder as the graceful stingrays glide through the water in Ray Bay. Experience a live dive show that will give you a glimpse into their world.

Planet Jellies: With eight different tanks featuring jellies surrounding you, this transfixing gallery will mesmerize and delight you with its color-changing displays.

The Gallery: As you stroll through The Gallery, be sure to take a close look at every exhibit – the masters of camouflage live here! You will not only find stunning fish in technicolor hues, but you will also be witnessing the incredible adaptations that help them survive. From bloated pufferfish, the Gallery is home to all different types of aquatic animals. These delicate species are from all over the world, and there is still much waiting to be discovered.

Shoreline Gallery: The Shoreline Gallery is located at the top of Ray Bay. Guests will have the opportunity to closely observe, interact with, and even gently touch four species of stingrays!

Life Support System: Explore the magic behind your aquatic experience in the Life Support Systems (LSS) gallery. By bringing a significant amount of pumping and filtration equipment out into the public areas, the Aquarium offers visitors a unique opportunity to see how its complex environment is maintained.

Kelp Forest: Be mesmerized by the Pacific Kelp Forest, featuring a wave maker that simulates surge conditions of the British Columbia shoreline. Kelp forests provide food and shelter for a wide variety of ocean dwellers that can be spotted in this two-story exhibit.

Dragons: Step into a world where myth meets nature at Dragons! Encounter real-life reptiles and amphibians whose legendary looks and behaviors bring dragon tales to life.
