If you have young (screaming) children, they seemed to enjoy the space. Adults not so much. Every sound echoes and the illusions are old news.

The Museum is a really fun activity to do with friends and family. Make sure to charge your phone beforehand, you’ll take a lot of cool pictures there. Although the museum isn’t that big, we spent almost 2 hours there to explore all the illusions.

While on my staycation in Toronto, I invited my adult daughter to come with me to the Museum of Illusions. We had a blast, thanks in large part to Pragya - a museum staffer who stayed with us the whole time, showing us how to position ourselves for the funniest and craziest pics as well as how to really appreciate the wide variety of optical illusions on display. This individualized guided tour was much appreciated and made possible because we happened to arrive at the museum at a fairly quiet time. If you'd like this experience as well, try to plan your visit on a regular weekday.

We booked this on their website for a Christmas Day at 10:00am. I was surprised that they were opened. When we went in there was 10 of us. We went from room to room taking pictures. The staff were as very friendly. They explained some of the illusions and took our picture. It took 45 minutes to get through. There was an area to do some puzzles. We ended up buying a few in the gift shop at the front of the store $16 each. There is a room where you can hang up your coat and leave your belongs but it’s not their responsibility if something gets taken. This was a great experience and I only wished it were bigger. But being that it’s downtown I can understand their issue with the space.

If you enjoy optical illusions and scientific phenomena in general, you will find this place AMAZING! It's small. Take your time - even if you go through every exhibit methodically it will only take you about an hour and a quarter to get through, but it's excellent entertainment value for those who like such things. Get there early or go on a weekday to avoid crowds and bring your camera!
