The crew at Hilton Head Helicopter Tours were great. Blake and Nestor went through all the paperwork and made our reservation for the following morning. Once we arrived it was a safety brief and walked us through on their scale map what to expect and see on our tour. Then off for some pre flight photos and on board our R44 helicopter. 47 years at Delta Air Lines and had never been in a helicopter it was a great experience. David our pilot was very knowledgeable, explained the R44 helicopter to us and was a great guide around the island. Blake, Nestor and David made our 45th anniversary a special occasion. Highly recommend this group and as a side note my BIL has flown with this group 3 times with great experiences.

My husband is difficult to buy gifts for so I thought this was something he would finally be impressed with. Well, I hit a home run! He absolutely loved it. Being a charter boat captain he knows a lot about the area and its waters, but seeing it all from above was AMAZING. We did the Island Adventure Tour and it was the perfect fit for our first helicopter ride/tour. Great Staff. Highly Recommend!

Where does the tour depart from?

No! Most passengers are a bit nervous prior to taking off, but after flying around for a few minutes they soon realize there was no need to worry. Each flight is smooth and stable unlike that of a roller coaster or amusement ride. They have flown passengers from 9 months to 90 years old!

Can a large group all fly at once?

Each helicopter can seat up to three passengers at a time. If you have more than three passengers, no problem. They can split larger groups into multiple flights back to back.

Can I bring my camera?

Passengers are encouraged to bring a camera and get ready to take some amazing pictures! Please note that you will be asked to wait until you are inside the helicopter to start taking pictures. This is to prevent people from walking around the helicopter while the blades are spinning, and the engine is running.

Is there a weight limit?

Yes, Federal Aviation Regulations require a maximum passenger weight of 300 lbs. per person or 580 lbs. per group.
