The Beach Bum Helicopter Tour gives guests an unforgettable aerial perspective of Hilton Head Island’s most scenic shoreline. On this roughly 10-minute, 20-mile route, you’ll soar above Coligny Beach, Palmetto Dunes, and other popular coastal areas with panoramic views of white-sand beaches, blue waters, and occasional marine life such as dolphins, rays, and sea turtles.

Flights depart from Hilton Head Island Airport, where guests check in and receive a brief safety overview before takeoff. Each helicopter carries up to three passengers, making this an ideal small-group experience for couples, families, or friends. Live pilot narration is provided through noise-canceling headsets, making landmarks and sights easy to follow throughout the flight.

This helicopter experience is AWESOME! Blake was so professional and showed us all the great landmarks- an awesome island tour. We happened to catch a small pod of dolphins too. Highly recommend!

We went as a family of 4 so we had to split up. My oldest and husband did the longer Beach bum tour and my youngest and I did the tour to Coligny plaza and back. Both were amazing! I would do the longer tour again because it goes by so fast. Blake was a great pilot and we felt very comfortable with him at the helm. He talked us through all the steps along the way. Thank you for a great first time in a helicopter. We would highly recommend this as a must do on Hilton head island!

Dave our pilot was extremely nice, my first flight in a helicopter was wonderful. Front desk guy was warm and made you feel comfortable before flight. The little jokes before the flight was wonderful. There company shirt about don’t scream was funny and lightened the mood. Great experience 10 out of 10. Take off was smoothe, landing was smooth.

Beautiful ride with Blake this morning. We did the “Ultimate Adventure” tour which goes around HHI and over to Daufuskie Island. We were able to see dolphins 🐬 in the ocean in addition to beautiful views. Blake was a great pilot and knew history about the island. Definitely want to do it again!
