"Time of our lives."
July 2016
The weather was a bit rainy, but the view was still amazing. I love that we were able to see the Na Pali coast in a way that you never see on the post cards. The water was too ruff in the 1st and 2nd snorkel spots but our fearless crew found us a safe place to snorkel. My daughter was able to go in the captains are and steer the boat, and learn about the boat. We ended the evening dancing on the deck till we made it back to port. I will be going on this cruise again next year when i return to Kauai.

"Excellent Cruise up the NaPali Coast with Skillful Captain and Attentive Crew"

I live on Kauai and often take visiting guests on a NaPali cruise. I've done them all--and this was by far the best. The cruise was uneventful because the weather was good. The Lucky Lady was very comfortable and unlike some of the other charters--NOT CROWDED. Kauai Sea Tours does not overbook it appears. I've been on other cruises packed cheek to jowl. Captain Evan was also extremely knowledgeable about Kauai’ history and environment and kept up an informative and entertaining patter on he cruise out. PLUS their fees were about $50-80 less per person than others. The snorkel was wonderful with clear water and many large fish greeting us when we anchored. Crew member Matt was vigilant on a surfboard ensuring less experienced snorkelers had a safe and enjoyable experience. Like all the the charters, lunch is basic and filling. The drink service was plentiful with a choice of wine, beer or mai tais, and once again Matt brought trays around constantly. Crew members Evan and Nathan were conscientious with passenger safety--offering their hand to steady older guests and helping everyone get the most out of their experience. I also liked that they seem to employ a lot of local people--born and raised on Kauai--rather than transplants from the Mainland. The office staff appeared to be all local and really show they aloha spirit that is so special. I always say about Kauai, come for the scenery, stay for the people. With Kauai Sea Tours you get both

This tour company is exceptional! I have been on many snorkel trips throughout the years, and I have to say this was my second best ever. (My first best ever being in St. Maarten, but that’s another story.) From the beginning, the office staff was courteous and had good communication, sending me a text w/ all the particulars, very detailed including directions and parking. Then a second text the day before to confirm. NOTE: don’t wait till the last minute to book. One thing I noticed right away was that it appears they limit the number of passengers, thank goodness. No cattle boat here. We had about 30 people on the catamaran, and that was very comfortable, both on board and in the water. We saw 3 other boats of comparable size with probably double the amount of people on board. The staff, especially Matt and Alex, really worked hard to keep people happy. I have NEVER been on a charter where they run around serving individual drinks, taking your trash right away, passing cups of water, etc. They really tried hard to make sure everyone was taken care of. As we motored to Napalii, Evan, the captain gave us lots of information about the coastline, which was amazing! We got to go into the entrance of a couple of large caves (while on the boat), to see waterfalls and birds. We got a good narration about the history of the area, which was super interesting! Then we stopped at the snorkeling area—-way ahead of other boats, which explained the 6:45 AM check in, but it was worth it. Only our boat was there and we weren’t in the water with a hundred other people. The snorkeling was very good; nice visibility and plenty of fish, not much coral though. I would rate it a 4 out of 5 rating. We were at Tunnels the day before, and this was SO much better! By the time we got back on board there were three other very crowded boats just arriving. Back on board they had a good lunch laid out, and actually went around passing trays of wine, beer, soda drinks and mai tais, as much as you wanted. As I said before, this crew really busted their ass to take good care of people. I would be happy to sail with them again. My friend, who is local, said she has been on many island charters, but this one is the best in her mind, and she will use them again when friends come to the island to visit. BTW, their prices are very competitive, too. They were awesome! It was a great day

Morning tour on Lucky Lady - May 2. Things seemed a little disorganized when we first arrived and we had to wait outside the office for more than 45 minutes before the excursion began. However, once we got started the customer service was exceptional. Wonderful captain (Jeff?) and crew. The snorkel spot was disappointing, but we saw lots of spinner dolphins during the voyage. The captain swung the boat around so that we could all get a good view. There wasn't much food left by the time we came back from snorkeling (all the buns and salad were gone) but we managed to scrounge enough for a sandwich on bread. Great way to see the Na Pali coast!

My wife and I had booked this excursion months in advance with the hope of seeing the Na Pali coastline. As luck would have it, the winds didn’t favor us. The first booking was canceled due to high winds and rain, and the follow up booking was “revised” due to the persistence of high winds out of the north. The agency was completely upfront about what was going on and offered us either another reschedule or our money back. Had that been it I would have appreciated the honesty, but been somewhat disappointed. Instead, we listened to our Captain Greg, and allowed them to show us the south side of the island and allow them to make it up to us as best they can. We went along and had every bit of fun or more than I anticipated of the Na Pali tour. We headed out to the east and traveled quite a way. We almost made it as far as the Lihue airport before turning around. Along the way out we saw numerous wildlife including spinner dolphins and a surprise Humpback whale sighting. Flying fish, sea turtles and exotic land views kept us entertained for hours. On our way back, we docked not too far from Poipu Beach I believe. There we spent an hour maybe snorkeling in pretty calm waters. The tour provided all the snorkeling gear and even extra flotation items for weaker swimmers. While in the water my wife and I saw a variety of fish, and were able to swim with a handful of sea turtles, one of which looked about 4 feet long. Awesome. Speaking of provisions, the ride out we were offered juice, sodas, water, and coffee; along with a variety of snack options from banana bread and donuts- to fruit and pretzels. Immediately following the snorkeling, we had a lunch with sandwiches, salad, macaroni, and more sodas etc... though this time they provided beer and Mai Thais! All of the food and drinks was included in the price of the excursion, as well as the homemade cookies as we approached the dock. All told, it was the most fun we’d had on the island up to that point, and that’s amazing to me when you consider the initial plans had fallen through. We couldn’t recommend these guys any more. Ask for Captain Greg and his crew of merry men/and women. You’ll not regret it.
