"Best honeymoon ever!"

My husband and I used this resort for our honeymoon and we certainly don’t regret it. The room was nice, we had a great view, and we were right by the pools! The pools are amazing with lots of different places to sit. They have poolside servers so you never have to leave if you don’t want to. Their beach access is basically a private beach. Not super busy but we say sea lions resting on the beach almost every day. The restaurants at the resort are delicious but expensive. I personally think Stevenson’s Library is worth the price!

"Nice, isolated, needs some attention perhaps - if you are golfing, its great."

Overall it is a 'Nice' resort, clean, nice beach, nice walking paths, nice pools, & Lazy River - but needs some upgrades to the rooms, and somewhat dated decor. Some elevators & their doors needed major rust removal - inside & out. The restaurants on site are nice - but selections are limited and BOOK your reservations well in advance of your arrival. There is a shuttle service to a shopping & Shopping area along the Koloa Road - they are nice, and we did get a few nice things there. The restaurants were varied & nice as well. Good for kids as well we thought. Overall, it is an isolated spot, and possibly that is what people are going there for, or the golfing options perhaps - which seemed pretty great. You'll need to rent a car to see anything as there is no shuttle service other than very locally, and taxi from the airport is $75 for 20 minute drive. The reliability of Uber was questioned by someone we met at the location.

"Underwhelmed"

For the price, this hotel is very underwhelming. The rooms are outdated and very basic - certainly not worth the $850 we spent per night. The property is beautiful, but the pools could really use some TLC. The service and on-site restaurants are incredible. Highly recommend Stevensons Library and Tidepools, the food was incredible! The entire pool service team were so amazing - their kindness, attentiveness and positive energy kept us coming back and ordering more. I hate to say it, but I wish we would have spend $350 more a night and stayed at 1 Hotel Hanalei Bay.

"Fabulous Trip"

We absolutely loved our stay @ Grand Hyatt Kauai. It was a core memory that my kids and I will never forget! From the parrots in the lobby to the gorgeous scenery. It rained during our trip, but the kids loved swimming in the pools during the rain. It was also relaxing after a day full of adventure to go rest in the jacuzzi’s at night.

We love Grand Hyatt Kauai and have stayed here several times. Not much more to say except that we love it and enjoy the spa, breakfast, and pools. Tidepools restaurant is also lovely... just book things in advance.
