We stayed at The Outrigger-Kauai Beach Resort for vacation as well as used the banquet services for my Dad’s 100th birthday. Trichael Pangan provided impeccable service from the planning to the execution of the most wonderful event. She responded quickly with all the questions I had as well as provided suggestions for set up, menu, and was there on the event date to make sure everything was beyond perfect. Nelson also was there to make sure all went smoothly. If there was a rating beyond perfect, this would be my rating of above and beyond excellent. We’re here for an additional 12 days now to enjoy the beautiful hotel facilities. Carol and Mike Trokey

The Outrigger Kauai Beach Resort & Spa provided a satisfactory stay for my family. The pool and courtyard are great for families with young kids. The beach right outside the resort is great to look at, but not swimmable. The staff was very friendly and helpful and attended to our every need. The building is a little outdated and the rooms and hallways could use some TLC. The weight room is in desperate need of attention. If the rooms were a few hundred dollars cheaper, this resort would offer great value. However, considering the price and the shape of the resort, I would suggest looking elsewhere, even if it means spending a bit more money. with some renovations, this could be an awesome location for families.

Came to this resort for my birthday because the Outrigger in Waikiki is so highly rated. Housekeeping was okay, but really not great. Our room definitely wasn’t the cleanest upon arrival, but we didn’t want to fuss over it. Had a terrible experience one night with a security guard named Shaynell who spoke to both me and my boyfriend incredibly unprofessionally. We reported that to the front desk, where Shaynell continued to argue with us, and never heard about it again. We asked if a manager had been informed the next morning, and they said records showed he had been informed. I also wrote a lengthy email to the reservations/customer service team detailing the incident, which never was replied to. Food and service at the bar was good though. We had trouble with the parking overcharging us, as well as our wrist bands not working. To top it off, the last night, we sat outside our room for about 25 minutes waiting for someone to come unlock our door because the battery in the door was dead.
