Lake Compounce Holiday Lights was awesome! Beautiful Christmas Tree tallest I have ever seen, and all the activities for the kids are great. Visit with Santa was good because you are allowed to take your own photos instead of paying to buy theirs at $30.00!! Kiddie rides are open and food is available for purchase. Christmas lights are all around the park. Not very crowded, dress WARM because it is cold at night in December. Would say it is not for the under 3 crowd as they would be too cold.

I enjoy coming coming to Lake Compounce. Great rides for the kids. Both Dry and Wet rides( Seasonal). I feel there are areas within the park that need attention to cleaning. Bathrooms dirty. Food court areas dirty. For the most part it is ok to come for the day. I understand that the economy is going up, but JEEEZZZZ. One slice of Pizza $10.99..$16.00 for ONE HOTDOG. @ THE CROC POT the girl at the Register questioned us why we didnt leave her a tip?? WOW. ALSO, PARKING $30. So if you are on a Budget with a Large family, you could spend a few hundred bucks on food alone. I recommend packing your bellies before you come. Enjoy

"Don't buy Speedy pass"

Speedy pass was a disaster. The park doesn't understand it either. You need to carry your phone through the water park. The food sucks and takes forever. You need to make reservations for each ride. They say it is your turn and then you wait another 15 minutes. I should have gone to Quazzy or brownstone. When I complained about not getting to ride when it was my turn, they through me off the ride and sent security to talk with me. They lied and said i caused a scene so that the worker wouldn'tget onto trouble. Very intimidating.

"Five Stars for America’s Amazing Oldest Amusement Park"

We’re grateful for making WONDERFUL memories at Lake Compounce, Bristol, Connecticut. With an 1846 opening, it’s the oldest continuously operating amusement park in the U.S. , now spanning 365 acres. We loved using our season passes this summer when we enjoyed every minute! With sweltering hot 🥵 weather, we lovef the countless ways for keeping cool at Lake Compounce’s water park, Crocodile Cove, Connecticut’s largest water park. Yesterday our friends beat the heat when taking on the towering Venus Vortex slide. There were plenty of smiles and laughs in the two fun wave pools. Of course, we all enjoyed a family favorite - lazy river tubing. What fun to see JOY 🥹 in the sweet faces of our little friends as they cooled off at Crocodile Cove. Yesterday we enjoyed a getaway to the thrills and chilling out at Lake Compounce. My husband Dave and I, retired teachers both in our 70’s, invited a family with 3 youngsters and a baby to join us for rides, slides, lunch, laughs, and water fun at America’s first amusement park. A WONDERFUL time was had by all. For our friends with the need to experience speed on big, bold rides, Lake Compounce’s big roller coasters 🎢 fit the bill this summer. There’s the intensely thrilling Boulder Dash, a 5-time winner of the World’s Best Wooden Coaster award. Plus, there’s the iconic Wildcat, the park’s original wooden coaster, now with a new track that’s smoother than before. For upcoming visits they’re looking forward to experiencing the inverted fun of steel coasters Phobia Fear and Zoomerang - with loops and speed that thrill the bravest among us. Hats off to our friend who took our granddaughters on some of these scary rides this summer. Our little friends enjoyed the BIG delights at Kiddie Land with 9 kid-sized rides. We got a kick out of watching them drive the bumper cars, soar on the backs of Dumbo elephants, take the wheel of a classic car, ride the colorful balloons, or try the kiddie coaster. With carousels, swings, and rides just the right size for them, the kiddos said they were having the best time ever. Hurray! Since the moderate or intense rides are not for everyone, this summer we welcomed milder attractions to enjoy with our guests. Using laser guns in the Ghost Hunt building, we zapped the haunted visitors at Bleakstone Manor. We took rides on the classic Ferris Whgel🎡 , carousel 🎠, and little red train 🚂 . Together we floated down the refreshing lazy river in our plastic tubes snd cooled off at CT’s largest wave pool. On Saturday nights in July, we enjoyed family- friendly concerts performed on a floating stage, followed by a fireworks 🎆 display over the lake. We are GRATEFUL for all the pluses- safe environment, fun rides for all ages, friendly staff members, guest relations staff who truly listen and respond, the lovely setting tucked in the green hills , the chance to swim in either the lake or the wave pools, organized sections with fun music, fireworks & concerts in July, delicious pizza, Crock Pot buffet, our free fountain drinks, season pass parking , but most of all, a great place to spend time with grandfathers aged 10 & 9 and WONDERFUL friends at the longest continuously-operating amusement park in America. Seeing their enjoyment brought JOY 🤩 to our hearts 💕.

"Lake Compounce does NOT keep their word and do not care about the customer experience."
TripAdvisor user rating 1.0 out of 5
Reviewed August 08, 2024
A year ago, our family went to Lake Compounce and found most of the rides were closed. It was a disappointing day and we notified customer service. They emailed us back very apologetically and then offered us new tickets when rides would be fixed and available. When we reached out this summer to get our complimentary tickets, we were notified that those tickets had an expiration in October 2023, but at no point in September 2023 were we told this. After forwarding our correspondence to show that there weren't any caveats in the initial promise, LC's customer service ignored our emails. We will NOT be returning to Lake Compounce considering it's flawed customer service and lack of care for an annual family experience. Our kids are heartbroken.
