"Great Experience"

My wife and I stayed at this hotel this past weekend from Friday through Monday morning. I will say, the negative recent reviews stating things like "beware of the Double Tree in Bristol" and that "Manager XXX was terrible", was not the experience that my wife and I had. The front desk staff could not be any more accommodating and pleasant, no matter what time we approached with questions or needs. The hospitality staff were awesome (including Nancy in the restaurant), as well as any of the other staff that we interacted with at the location. Our floor was super quiet, even though the hotel was booked to capacity for multiple weddings and parties the weekend we were there. Even with the number of people at the location, we barely heard anything from our room on the 6th floor. The other facilities in the area, including the pool and fitness center, were always clean and well-maintained. If my wife and I are in the area again, we will certainly stay at this location.

"Good option if you find yourself in Bristol!"

Stayed here again over Memorial Day weekend. Clean, has parking and close to my family. Pool looked like it had algae and when I asked the front desk staff I was told levels were good, but the pool was visibly green. Sure enough the next day, it was shutdown. Hot tub felt nice and warm. They have an overpriced restaurant with a breakfast Buffett on site (basically continental breakfast that is free in other hotels costs $18 for adults and $7 for kids). Not bad for a day but wouldn’t recommend to eat there throughout your stay. It was mediocre in taste and honestly not worth the price- I understand charging but the options offered weren’t good. Rooms were clean and overall staff was good.

"Worst experience of my life!!"

Worst experience of my life. Manager John Yokubinas is an extremely rude, horrible person who doesn't have a clue how to do his job! Due to my interactions with him solely, I will NEVER stay at a Hilton Hotel again! He should be fired! I attempted to advise the company of his putrid behavior, and received the runaround. Obviously the company approves of this horrible behavior, since there is no way to notify anyone above this incompetent induvial, regarding his actions.

A top-of-the-line experience. We really enjoy Double Tree, so if there is one where we are going, we will stay here. This was our first time at the Bristol, CT, facility. It's in a complex that includes a Home2Suites and a small convention center, so there is more in this Double Tree than in others. This one has a sports tavern and a Starbucks in the lobby area. Having a Starbucks prevents one from getting free coffee from the dining area, although our daily comp covered the cost. We had to amend our stay by one day, and the staff made that adjustment without any problem. Great room and a wonderful shower. I have found that it is smart to bring along a multi-outlet adapter to use in the bathroom. Between electric toothbrushes, our own nightlight, electric shaver, and electric hair dryer, it's good to have the ability to increase the capability of the 1 outlet in the bathroom. We will plan on staying here every time we come to visit family.
