I would not recommend this hotel, and I would recommend that you read other reviews before booking. First, this hotel needs a major renovation. Rooms are old, TVs are outdated, bathrooms are worn, sliding doors barely work, and elevators (4) that serve the entire hotel are always packed and will keep you waiting forever. We stayed on the 10th floor and ended up taking the stairs (both up and down) on multiple occasions because the elevators were either too full or never came. Next, if you are a Hilton Honors member, you expect to be treated like one for your brand loyalty. For a 3-night stay, our air conditioning in the room did not work and required multiple visits from the maintenance crew, to no avail. It worked - slightly - on our last night, but being uncomfortable in the room (either 80 degrees or 63 degrees with no in-between) and being inconvenienced by running back and forth to the front desk was no vacation at all. What is really disappointing is that the staff never offered an alternate accommodation or partial refund. Again, why choose Hilton if there is no brand loyalty? Next time, I won't...I'll be booking a Marriott. Stay away...and also read the recent reviews of the hotel restaurant (Amalfi), which are awful, too.

"Not up to Hilton Standards....beware!"

Where to start? We are Diamond Members with Hilton and stay at Hilton chains weekly for business. We planned this trip April 18-April 20th. My husband, myself and our 11 year old requested an early check in around lunch time due to us driving four hours with my husband's service animal. "Richard" advised us that check in was at 4pm, but if we came by the front desk, they should be able to accommodate that for us. We arrived around 12pm and were told that our room as not ready and they would text us when it was ready. While my husband was at the check in desk - there was a lady who was highly upset and complaining about upgrades, etc. She was fussing and cussing the staff and they ended up giving her an upgrade and allowing her to check in early. She just happened to be a difference race than us. I'm not sure if that was the reason or that she was belligerent to the staff and we were nice? But, either way, I feel sure she was not a Hilton Diamond Member. What is right for one, right for all, no matter the race, sex or religion. 3:45pm - still no text. My husband called the front desk and was told that check in is at 4pm and that nobody should have told us that they should be able to accommodate an early check in. That is not our fault. 4:14pm we finally received a message stating our room was ready. That is still after the 4pm check in time and hours after we were told they should be able to check us in early. 4:45 - we arrived to our room. It was subpar. Very outdated and worn. It was clean, but definitely needed updating. We went out the front door to go to dinner and there were people gathering near the front door smoking cigarettes - with a No Smoking sign right there on the wall. The Hilton staff did nothing about that. My son has asthma and walking through the smoke was terrible. We tried to go to the hot tub at nighttime and one of them near the bar was not hot, barely warm. The other one that was hot was full of kids running in and out of it. We were again met with the smell of someone smoking marijuana on the pool grounds. I was baffled to smell this at a resort of this standard. The Wet Whistle was ok - they were very understaffed for it to be spring break and full of people. Ted and the other lady were super busy, but very nice. We placed our food order at the bar and then had to go back to get it. They didn't have staff enough to serve the many tables at the pool deck. We had to keep going to the bar to get things we needed or ordered. The food was pretty good once we got it all. The breakfast staff were very nice and friendly. They were very good about putting us in a corner with our service animal and were the best staff at the hotel. Breakfast was a buffet and we really enjoyed it both days! We filed a complaint with Hilton direct and were told they would have a manager reach out to us within 48 hours. NOTHING! I was just told by Hilton that they resolved the issue. They didn't, so I had to open a new complaint. Beware of this hotel and their customer service. Unless you like the dirty grounds and smoking of cigarettes and illicit drugs at the entry ways and pool areas, stay clear of this hotel! We spend way too much money each year with Hilton chains to be treated this way and to have endured the customer service who could care less about Diamond Members. Hotel staff could have cared less about our issues.

"Nice Hotel"

We stayed for three nights and love the amenities. The Starbucks in the lobby is great. The bar and restaurant Cafe Amalfi are exceptional. The only negative is that the rooms need updating. We paid extra for an oceanfront room and it just wasn’t that nice...very small room for the money. The balcony is so small that it’s scary to stand there and defiant sit there. However the entire staff is very nice. I just was disappointed in this not being up to the standards of normal Hilton Hotels.
