Reviewed November 24, 2024 NEW
We are a group of friends from Vietnam traveling to the United States. During the trip, we chose Maverick helicopter to fulfill our dream of exploring the Grand Canyon and we booked the helicopter at 2:00 PM on September 26, 2024 at a price of 379.6 USD/person (There were total 6 of us on that flight, 2 people paid by card, 4 people by cash) We were confirmed to fly 20 minutes for both the outbound and return flights and on the way, there was a 20-minute stop halfway up the mountain to take pictures. After checking in, the pilot led us to the boarding gate. Because I was so excited about the trip and there was no one safety instruction given on the flight, I accidentally opened the front door of the helicopter and the pilot was just a few steps behind shouted loudly with a threatening face making our whole group startled and terrified. He looked at the customers with a bullet-shaped gaze as if he wanted to eat everyone alive (as if we were doing something too dangerous...). After everyone was seated on the helicopter, he closed the doors on both sides very hard and too noisy as if he wants to destroy the helicopter, with the ear-piercing sound of the door closing again causing panic and as a hidden threat to the customers. Not only that, before the flight, he only gave a brief explanation about how to fasten the seat belt, and did not even bother to instruct the passengers on how to wear soundproof headphones, guide the tourists from far away about the beautiful scenery of his country, introduce the company's helicopter, or at least smile during the entire flight. We asked him to take a group photo for us, but before we even had time to stand together, he took the photo with the group without heads... and his expression was extremely insensitive and contemptuous of the standards of a human being towards another human being or at least respect for the customer, who is paying his salary… We stood there taking photos for 10 minutes in a very tense, fearful atmosphere. The total flight time was less than 25 minutes, which was not the same as the time the company staff had promised us when we bought the tickets. At the end of the flight, we went to the counter to complain about the incident and hope for a solution, but the person who arranged the service (maybe the receptionist) even said that we could complain through the TripAdvisor page and had absolutely no intention of listening to the customer's spirit or giving us any solution. So, I am writing this letter to request the management of Maverick helicopter company to consider refunding 50% of the ticket price for the helicopter flight with the bad experience as above before we send feedback to the TripAdvisor page so that everyone knows and avoid Maverick Co
