"You get what you pay for"

If you are looking for a cheap place to stay on the strip then this is a good option. There’s no frills and the entire hotel including the rooms need to be remodeled. The hotel is clean enough. I didn’t deal with the staff too much but the people that I did deal with were friendly. The location is good enough but it’s a little farther down the strip but the monorail station is pretty close so you can get to the middle or other end of the strip pretty easily. The check in process was a little clunky. The air conditioner in our room was very loud so that was a little annoying.

Took a quick trip to Vegas this past week and and a comp offer for Excalibur, being it was a busy weekend and that was the only comp, I took it. I was booked in a Resort tower room which was clean and perfectly usable but dated. When I arrived the lamp, alarm clock and phone were unplugged, I only worried about the lamp. It only had a shower but no biggie. The beds were not great but for the couple hours I spent in it, it was fine. There are plenty of dining options as well, none that I partook in. The casino was smoky but seemed busy, table mins were as expected for this caliber of property. My complaint is I was originally charged for two nights resort fee which the WIFI was the only thing there to use and it never worked in my room. I told the desk, they took one nights resort fee off but quite frankly if I could not use what I was paying for, why did I have to pay for it at all? My friend traveled with me and he got a room at the Excalibur in the Royal Tower and it was obviously remodeled compared to the Resort tower but nothing I would write home about. At least with the Royal Tower the uber pick up area is right there. Had the pool been open resort tower would have been closer.

"What was once a nice hotel is no longer"

This hotel has had its time and is really beginning to look tired. Our room was very outdated and not clean at all. A very strong musty odor was present. An extremely dirty bathroom with slight mold. Though our view from the window was nice, the windows themselves were filthy. The room darkening blind was worthless and did not filter the bright lights from the buildings exterior. Our room safe did not work and it required 3 calls to guest services to get it serviced. The room itself is somewhat quiet but for some reason, we could hear all conversations in the hallway. The Excalibur charges exorbitant "resort fees" and gives you nothing in return. No coffee pot in your room, no mini frig, no microwave and just shampoo and soap in the bathroom. Bring an adapter for your electronics because there are no usb charging ports and the outlets on the lamps do not work. Outside of your room: The eateries avl suck and are rather on the pricey side. The buffet was horrible. The Casino itself was rough. The machines rather unforgiving & guzzled up your money like a hungry dog. The guest service computers for printing your flight tickets did not work for the most part. I suppose if I need to say anything positive, it would be that this hotel is in close proximity to the T-Mobile Center if you are going for any event. But, as a twice a year tourist to Vegas, I will most likely stick to hotels/casinos on Fremont Street from here on out.

Great value, good service, nice employees, close to everything on The Strip. The entire complex is clean. Food court on the 2nd level is an excellent addition to this complex, no real need to go outside for food. Close to CVS and Walgreens for all of your basic needs.

"Affordable but too Smokey"

The custodial staff did a great job cleaning the room daily. Affordable price for the Las Vegas strip; however, the hallways inside the resort were very smokey. The casino also had a stronger smoke smell compared to the other hotel/casinos on the strip.
