"7th floor Prison Room"
TripAdvisor user rating 4 out of 5
Reviewed September 21, 2019 NEW
Overall our experience was good but not fantastic. We got stuck on the 7th floor and unbeknownst to us the room had tiny windows with bars on them. At least it had a tiny view of the pool area. The rest of the room was good and we knew ahead of time to not go near the mini fridge. My other complaint was with housekeeping waking us up. We are two night owls and stay out until 3-4 AM so we always put the "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door. We have never had a problem with people knocking and entering our room while we were sleeping. The first time scared the hell out of me and the second time just annoyed me. The rest of the hotel had good food (stay away from Seabreeze Cafe and go to HofB instead for breakfast) and the slots made me happy. Would probably stay again but spring for the upgraded view.

"Staff unfamiliar with property and daybeds are a waste of money"
TripAdvisor user rating 1 out of 5
Reviewed September 21, 2019 NEW
Staff didn’t seem to know the property very well. We were pointed the wrong direction multiple times. The daybed rentals of $200 is a waste of money. We sat on our bed three hours before we could get a cocktail server to stop by and take our drink order. Then after her one visit she never came back. We had to get our own drinks and grab a server from another’s section. We paid the $200 cause we wanted to be served and relax without getting up or hunting down a server. Waste of money

"Great but costly"
TripAdvisor user rating 4 out of 5
Reviewed September 21, 2019 NEW
The rooms were fabulous . But, where ever you go in the hotel, Tips are expected to start at 18% and go up. We ordered drinks and asked for a cup of water and were told they are not allowed to bring us water because it affects there ability to bring drinks and directed us to a self serve water station. There were tip cups when we went to the buffet....employees at the pool area seemed so unfriendly, including the life guads yelling at guests. Why should we feel obligated to tip 18% for bad service? They should be paid more an hour and be happy employees maybe the 18% or more will come freely with great service! Very surprised about the service...
