"Great Waterpark and Hotel"

Good place to have fun with your family. Every fun you and your kids need to bond is here. We love that they clean and maintain the waterpark everynight. If you want to enjoy everything get all the pass and try to stay here for atleast 2 nights. I got some dispute over hold/ charges but they really resolve it within a day and have my money return within a day. Great experience overall. Worth the money too. Thank you!

"This place has gone downhill"

This was our third visit to this location and probably our last. We had a number of problems. 1) Our wristbands were not working/scanning correctly. This meant we could not get into our room. It took two attempts to get this taken care which is time consuming and a hassle when you have to walk to the front lobby and back to your room with two toddlers more than once. 2) There was a scary confrontation between a man and my husband that took place near the toddler pool over our pool chairs that held our towels and clothing. The great wolf lodge lifeguard that was supposed to be present supposedly was doing a shift change. When he returned my husband asked him to get the manager, which he did, but this other guest was very hostile and had a large group with him. The manager escorted them away from the pool area but my husband was worried about that guest for the remainder of the day. We have never encountered such blatant disrespect and hostility at a GWL. If this is the clientele that is starting to frequent the Gurnee location, we have no interest in returning. The manager was kind and thanked my husband for trying to deescalate the situation but the fact that this is a kids park and there are grown men and women that yell and scream over chairs and look like they are seconds from inflicting violence is absolutely disgusting. Do better. 3) When we arrived home we looked at our bill from GWL and realized we were overcharged by 121 dollars. My husband called and was on hold for 35 mins before he decided to end the call and try again later. Our kids had a great time but there was so many other family friendly parks, we will probably try something else in the future.
