Description

Ghosts & Gravestones of Key West offers guests an evening adventure exploring Key West's strange and macabre past. Learn the sinister story of creepy Count Karl Von Cosel and his dearly departed bride Elena Mesa. Hear tales of island superstitions, clandestine burials, murder and mayhem.

Your tour will travel past many of the island's most haunted locations–the Marrero House, the Porter Mansion, and even the Hanging Tree. Of particular interest will be the former home of Robert Eugene Otto, also known as the Artist's House. There, imprisoned in the attic by Dr. Otto's wife, Robert the Doll suffered the abandonment of his lifelong companion, and his mischievous ways took a more sinister turn. The Trolley of the Doomed will then take you to explore the eerie East Martello Fort where guests will meet Robert the Doll ~ Key West's Most Cursed Resident!

Hear the complete story; feel the energy. Is Robert possessed? Enter his world and judge for yourself as you stand face to face in his room at the East Martello Tower. Take his picture if you dare, but do not disparage him or else suffer the consequences!

Step aboard the Trolley of the Doomed and let your Ghost Host guide you on an unforgettable adventure into the unknown if you dare.

"Great Key West Experience with Historic Tours ofo America!"

My friend and I had a great experience in Key West with Historic Tours of America! We were on a cruise so had limited time in Key West for the day. We used the Historic Old Town Trolley as an easy way to explore the sites we wanted to see. The drivers provided lots of interesting facts and fascinating stories about the various sites and also let cruise passengers know the timetables for the trolley to ensure we could make it back to the ship on time. Trolleys were very clean and well maintained and ran on schedule as advertised! We enjoyed touring the Key West Aquarium, the Truman Little White House, the Ernest Hemingway House and visiting the Southern Most Point. The drivers provided great lunch recommendations in the area. Would highly recommend Historic Tours of America for planning out your sightseeing and tours when visiting Key West! Will definitely use them again on our next trip to Key West!

Hop on and hop off at stops and use to save a few steps. But they shut down at 4 or 5. We just made one loop and utilized to get an idea of where everything was and got some good history of the place too. One stop you can get off use the bathroom and grab some ice cream and get back on the same train. Pay attention and you can keep your bearings when walking around.

The tour guide, Sharry was extremely knowledgeable and engaging. It was a very good 2 hour overview of the history of Key West. It concentrated mainly around Mallory Square and the Truman Annex. Worth the $18 per person.

"Sunday 2/4 in KW"

Well it was Sunday and hot. Unfortunately our first wait for a tour bus at stop 12 was pretty long. However, give attendant credit he solved the problem. Once we got to station 1 no problems. I think it was a little expensive but do recommend. Probably the best way to see almost all of KW in a short period of time. We bought two day passes. Much better wait on Monday. So, I recommend trying at least once.

Our driver was Sawaya and he was great. The kids (ages 7-17) enjoyed it as did us adults. We did not hop off as we wanted to hit everything and were on a time crunch. They had trolleys running every few minutes and at one stop where there was no room, he called for another right away. I’d recommend it

After part time living on the island for the better part of 20 years, we decided to take the Conch Train hop on hop off tour. It was a great experience. We learned a number of facts about Key West we never knew. The hour and 30 min tour is the perfect length if you want a quick overview. And of course if you are looking to get off and participate in various activities around the island, it is great transportation to some of the key areas in Key West. The drivers seem to be knowledgeable and entertaining. A good experience!
