Located between Orlando and Kissimmee on the South Orange Blossom Trail, Gatorland is one of Central Florida's classic attractions, and provides a unique and natural alternative to the larger theme parks of today. Founded by the late Owen Godwin in 1949, and still privately owned by his family today, Gatorland is a 110-acre theme park and
wildlife preserve, combining "Old Florida" charm with exciting, new exhibits and entertainment, making it Orlando's best half day attraction®.

Known internationally as the "Alligator Capital of the World ®," Gatorland provides affordable family fun showcasing thousands of alligators and crocodiles including four extremely rare leucistic "white" alligators. The free-flight aviary, petting zoo, one of a kind animal shows, natural alligator breeding marsh, and the "thrilling" Screamin' Gator Zip Line will ensure your day will be filled with Fun, Smiles and Special Memories!

Get up-close and personal with gators, crocs, birds, turtles, zebu, deer and much more! Enjoy one-of-a kind shows like the Alligators – Legends of the Swamp as one of the bravest daredevils at Gatorland

water. Then head on over to the Up-Close Encounters Show where you can expect to find the unexpected!

Feed the lovable animals at the petting zoo and the aviary. Then head out to the Swamp Walk or Alligator Breeding Marsh and Bird Rookery where nature is in charge and every visit is unique!

An expensive day out, quite a disappointment, old and tired, not up to the usual polished professional shows and parks. Would not recommend.

"First experience Zip-lining"
October 2019
I went to Gatorland as a kid and remembered loving it so now I've taken my kids, this is their third time, they absolutely love it. This time we went specifically for the zip-lining. Kids ranging in age from 11 - 15 they had a great time. An experience they will always remember.

Tip: If you get the Groupon for admission/zip lining don't expect to use it right away. You have to make reservations for zip-lining. I wanted to make sure we could get in before purchasing then I bought the Groupon and it did not become available until the next day. Gatorland was great about letting me cancel the ziplining without penalty.

"A good trip back in time"
October 2019
Gatorland reminded us of places we visited growing up. No fancy neon, electronics no buy his shirt etc at every stop. Good entertainment at a great price, very family oriented, defiantly would recommend for family. Very refreshing after a day at one of he major theme parks, also great price also needed after day at major park.

"Great Experience - bring lots of dollars in change (hidden costs for feeding etc)"
September 2019
Unique experience which is worth doing but lots of hidden costs for extra things - feeding birds, holding baby alligators, feeding them etc - can all add up. Worth getting the package deal but still costs for separate activities. (no package includes everything)
Shows were good and water park was good fun for the children and ideal for a cool off. Can spend at least six hours there doing everything and having a bit of lunch.

Tip: Bring cash/change with you to buy animal feed - watch out for the greedy birds :-) !

The place has all sixes and all ages of alligators as well a few albino alligators. You will also see turtles, deer, birds and crocodiles. There are areas to feed alligators and birds. Be aware there is a minimal cost. You can take a train ride that doesn't take very long. Again there is a minimal cost. Hop on the swamp buggy for about a 12 minute off road style ride that you need to be ready for some very bumpy areas that would not be good for anyone with back problems. The shows are okay. Look at maybe 3 to 4 hours to see everything. Gatorland is an easy walk around the property. Just know that the admission price will increase with all the add ons they offer. The staff Is friendly and in character. All and all an enjoyable experience.

Even though the staff there are very friendly, the price you pay for what you are getting is outrageous. Everything there is money. $30 just to walk in and see alligators?? I could walk by some lakefront’s and see gators for free. If you want a picture or even touch an alligator you just pay(per person). If you want to take a train ride around the park, it’s $2 a person. If you want to zip line, it cost $$, if you want to feed an alligator, it cost money. Come on Gatorland. If you want your residents and hospitality people to refer your park to others, make it worth wild for them. That is why Wild Florida is growing so quickly.

We did the trainer for a day experience this morning. It truly exceeded all of our expectations. Our trainer Michael has obviously been doing it for a long time. He knew exactly what we would want to do, held our camera, accommodated our requests, etc. It was great. If you’re in Orlando you should do it...

"I hope the zipline adventure is better than the webite experience"
TripAdvisor user rating 2 out of 5
Reviewed July 10, 2020
The website purchase is horrendous. It took over an hour to purchase advanced tickets for the zipline. It is easy to chose a date and time, and add it to you cart. Before you can checkout you have to fill out more information than a loan application. I added a zipline for each person in my family and tried to check out. I got some cryptic error so I started again. Turns out, you have to add each family member. They want a name, email and password for each family member. The worst thing is the form to add people to your family goes off the screen so you can't see what you are supposed to fill out. I only carry a laptop on vacation, and it doesn't have a 27" screen. This is just bad programming. The first couple times I tried to buy tickets was on my mobile device. I couldn't get past the cryptic message which I later figured out was to add all the information for each family member. HINT, use the TAB button on your computer to find the other fields to fill out. When I finally added them all, and got paid up, I received an email receipt. It instructed each of us to go to a link and fill out the waiver in advance. I tried to click on the link, nothing happened. I right clicked on the link, and it turns out the whole page is a image. Who wrote this website? I've seen better websites written by children! Even if I did fill out the waiver in advance, I don't carry a printer on vacation, who uses printers these days anyways? I am hoping that the park experience will be better than the ticket purchasing experience. I'm sure that it took longer to purchase tickets than the attraction (zipline) will last. I should have just paid the extra $20 and bought tickets when we get there, I certainly could have earned more than $20 in the last hour+ that it took to purchase them online. One last thing, when I called to asked how to get through the website, they had a message saying they were not in the office. That was on a weekday at 2:30pm, they are open until at least 5pm.

"Fun even in masks"
TripAdvisor user rating 5 out of 5
Reviewed June 29, 2020
Gatorland was great. They were amazing when it came to covid 19. Masks were required and we did wear them in the extreme heat. We recommend drinks and staying under shade in masks. The train ride was sanitized after every ride. That was a ton of work for the employees but they did it and still were happy. The gators were everywhere. Our kids loved feeding the gators fish. 3 fish for $5.00. Our trip lasted about 3 hours then the kids were done. We would have stayed longer if they had gone in the splash pad. Overall happy experience.
