Crowne Plaza Times Square is perfectly located in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, between 48th and 49th Streets, just at the doorstep of Times Square. Just beyond the front doors are Fortune 500 companies and the best shopping, theater, and historical attractions in the city. Times Square, Central Park, Rockefeller Center, Radio City Music Hall, and the greatest musical theater are mere steps away. Central Park is 10 minutes’ walk away. The hotel is also steps away from the 49th Street underground station.

Crowne Plaza Times Square has over 25,000 square feet of private event space onsite, 28 meeting rooms, and two Ballrooms, including a 6,750 square feet Broadway Ballroom with 20-foot ceilings. Featuring city views, each room at the Crowne Plaza Times Square has a flat-screen cable TV, modern decor, plush bedding, a workspace, upscale bathroom amenities, and WiFi included for the nightly service fee. The hotel has a restaurant and bar, Broadway 49 serving craft cocktails, beer, wine and unique dishes. Grind'n Co Coffee on the first floor has a variety of beverages including Stone Street Coffee, as well as grab-and-go items.

Pet Policy
Pets are welcome. Dogs or cats only weighing 40 lbs. or less are allowed. Pet owners must sign a waiver and pay $75 non-refundable fee. One pet pet room is allowed. Please notify the hotel directly prior to arrival if traveling with a pet. Pet-friendly rooms are limited.

"Nicely renovated hotel and a great option, but check-in is a nightmare."

Stayed here the week before Christmas which is a very busy time in NYC. This hotel is conveniently located in midtown and a short walk to the theater district, Times Square, 5th Avenue Shopping and Rockefeller center. The renovations are fabulous both in the hotel common areas and the rooms. The rooms are larger for NYC and have Queen Bed options which are hard to find in the city. Housekeeping was fabulous and always had our room cleaned early so we returned midafternoon to rooms that had already been tended to. I’ve seen comments complaining about the elevators but we had no issues and found them to be fast and efficient. Now the bad and why I can’t give this 5 stars. The check-in process is a nightmare. Very long lines and not enough people working. We waited over an hour to check in (we tried to do it through the app but it would not give us a key). We were exhausted from traveling and just wanted to get to the room and get on with our day. You also had to wait in this line if you needed anything else - locked out, questions, etc. The hotel really needs a dedicated concierge desk in the lobby to help everyone who doesn’t need to wait in the same line with people checking in. Everyone we came into contact with working at the hotel was so kind and friendly. I do not blame them, but put the blame on management for not having this properly staffed. Overall a good option and we would probably return.

"Lovely hotel needing more staff"

Property is lovely and new, and the staff are excellent. However, it’s wildly understaffed, causing huge lines at check in and bell services while staff struggle to do the superhuman. $100M property needs to have proper staffing levels. Granted it’s the holiday crush, but that’s entirely foreseeable. Managerial thinking at work.

"Lots of potential but falls short"

The hotel is newly renovated with sleek rooms but falls far short of what you’d expect from a hyatt four star hotel. The front desk check in process is a disaster. There was a line of hundreds of people to check in. The staff at the front desk were rude and you could tell did not want to be there. The elevators are another issue. They either didn’t work at all or bypassed elected floors. I’d say the best thing the hotel has going for it is the maid service who do a great job.

"Great modern and spacious hotel located well for NY sightseeing"

Great location, spacious modern and clean rooms. Delighted with our choice for our family holiday and would recommend. Beds were comfortable, room was well laid out with plenty of space, clean and the bathroom was lovely. Two minor areas for improvement: 1. We are a family of four and yet most days were left three bath towels. We had to request a fourth and it was always brought promptly, but wouldn’t expect to have to keep asking. 2. There are no facilities for complementary hot drinks - either in the room or in reception (previous reviews suggested this but seems it’s gone now the bar and restaurant is open). It’s a minor thing but would expect at a hotel of this level. Otherwise a faultless stay and would highly recommend to anyone visiting NY and am sure we’ll return again ourselves.

"Don't stay here!"

Place is a disaster! A staff doesn't return phone calls, cleaning lady refused to clean if anyone at all was in the room, and then when we all left she still didn't clean. No room service at all, although they try to claim some flexibility in that regard. Just a mess!
