Chicago Crime Tours is interesting and entertaining with a great mix of on the bus touring and off the bus experiences. Our guide, Mitch, was fantastic.

Very boring bus tour. I would not recommend. Wasted time and money. Nothing interesting to see. The guide was not knowledgeable and talked too fast.

"Two thumbs up from a Chicagoan (and crime buff)"

Despite being born and raised in Chicago, I love taking tours because I inevitably learn something new and interesting about my city and places I pass by every day. This tour was no exception. It was educational, informative and beyond entertaining. Our guide, Sheila, was not only extremely knowledgeable but also hysterical (if she’s not already a professional comedian, she should be). It’s also a great way for tourists to see neighborhoods beyond downtown/River North (particularly Lincoln Park). And bonus points for the extremely comfy and luxurious tour bus! There are some slightly graphic details about the crimes (mainly old gangland activities) and therefore the tour may not be suited to very young children, but I think it would be a great activity for families with older children, couples, parties, etc... Note there are a few stops where you get on and off the bus, but those with more limited mobility could stay on the bus and still get a full and fantastic experience. As a native Chicagoan who is very picky about tour experiences, I highly recommend!!!!!

"Shannon did a GREAT job!"

The tour was very informative. As the owner of the John Dillinger Museum in Indiana, I was curious to see how accurate the tour would be. HOLY COW.... Shannon nailed it! The stops were all well timed, and unlike other tours that don’t stop, it was great to get off the coach, see the alley by the Biograph and the vault in Harry Carey’s basement. A great 90 minutes.
