Stayed here during the Chicago Marathon weekend and it was in a very convenient location for that being so close to Grant Park. The lobby was very nice with clean bathrooms. Getting to the room was a bit confusing so we needed to ask a few times how to get up there. The room itself was very clean and spacious (stayed in a single king suite). However the clock and the phone in the room were not working and we had to go down to the front desk to ask for some extra blankets for the room. The refrigerator is also one that has sensors so we could not use the fridge for our personal items. The hotel was fairly quiet but there was a bit of street noise being right on Mag Mile, which is to be expected.

Everything feels old, the carpets are worn out and look dirty. Apart from the breakfast service, the staff is mediocre. The rooms are outdated and dark, and there’s noise everywhere. Really not up to standard at all.

The hotel was very nice but the gym is old with broken outdated equipment. The rooms were OK, nothing very special, but I had an issue with the tub filling up with brown water and was unable to shower. The location was excellent.

The location was very busy. The decorations with the pumpkins were really nice. When I arrived to check in, I am always acknowledged as a Gold Member and this did not happen at this Intercontinental location. The young lady did not make any mention of the breakfast in the morning. I didn't know until the next day when I went downstairs to ask if there was a club lounge aside from the Michael Jordan restaurant and they directed me to the second floor. Aside from that, I enjoyed my stay and the room was very nice and clean.
