AWFUL & INCREDIBLY DANGEROUS! My girlfriends and I decided to take the Antelope Canyon tour which was a tour on a propeller plane from Cottonwood airport. Originally we were told lunch would be included in the $399 tour price. When we arrived we were told that was a mistake and no lunch provided (leaving my friends and I unprepared for the day). Additionally - and this is the terrifying party - the door latch to the airplane BROKE upon takeoff and the pilot did nothing about it. He reached over and pulled tightly and then let go and continued to fly us to the Page, AZ airport. We did the tour for about 2 hours and had hoped the broken latch to the door would have been repaired. IT WAS NOT and 10 minutes in to the flight, the door started top open 12,000 feet in the air. I was in the front seat next to the pilot and he tried to close it a few times but that caused the plane to shake up significantly. At that point, I told him that I wold hold the door so he could concentrate on flying the plane. My friend sitting behind me and I had to hold the door shut for over an hour fearing that it would once again open up. Never did the pilot explain that this would be ok or normal but rather he spent the flight checking a flight track on the ipad. When we landed our arms/fingers were numb from holding the door so tightly. When we addressed with Sedona Air Tours, they refused to apologize and certainly did not help resolve the matter. We were extremely disappointed as my friends and I spent a significant amount of money on something that turned out to be AWFUL. I would strongly suggest you do not register for this tour with this company.

You can’t appreciate the true Sedona rock forms until you see them from a helicopter. Our guide was great, and we were amazed the entire time in the air. Just a note, my wife has trouble on a plane, but had no trouble in the copter. Highlight of our trip.

"Limited View and Static Filled Headsets"

My husband and I set up our tour online for a particular time. Sedona Air Tours called to change the time once, but when we arrived after a two hour drive, they had changed the time again so we had an hour wait. There are 4 passenger seats and all 4 passengers in our group were close to the same weight each. My husband and I were seated in the middle and right rear seats. Everything worth seeing was always off the left side. The pilot never turned the helicopter so the right side had a view. Honestly, my photos from ground were much better than any I was able to take from the air. Also, our headsets were filled with static unless the pilot was talking. We were very disappointed!
