"STAY AWAY, This Place Has Gone Down Hill"

We have stayed at this resort every year for the last four years, this time I was horrified at cleanliness standards. I would never stay here again. When we showed up and checked in to our room, after check in time which is 3pm, there was a bag of trash outside our room that we had to move to even be able to access the door, the bedding had clearly not been changed in between guests, there was stuff on the sheets. The dishwasher was still going- meaning on my vacation I had to put away the clean dishes. Floors were still wet, I wiped off the kitchen counter that still had crumbs. It clearly seemed like the room was a rush "clean"When I went down to talk to a manager, Miguel, about these issues they did switch our rooms and I personally watched that he put on new sheets, he was pleasant about the situation. Fast forward to this evening when we returned to the room to have dinner as we had been out all day after dropping our bags off after the room switch, I then noticed that the bathroom mirrors had clearly not been cleaned as there was a bunch of gunk on them, the bed side closet to the window had clearly not been vacuumed, the light fixture above the dining table is covered in cobwebs and when I wiped my finger across the upper part of the bathroom counter a large layer of dust appeared on my finger. Walking through the exterior of the resort there were a ton of cobwebs on the light fixtures. They have really let this place go on terms of cleanliness, ESPECIALLY during a time of Covid where Diamond promised higher levels of sanitation and cleanliness. As a Diamond owner I'm pretty peeved to pay for this as it's on par for a cheap motel. STAY AWAY!!! spend your money elsewhere.

"Los Abrigados needs a good cleaning"

We spent a week here in June, and it was clear that the unit had not been cleaned in months. The towels on the racks had black lines on top where the dust had settled on them over time. The room smelled moldy the whole time we were there even though we left the doors and windows open as much as possible. I found beard hair clipping all around the sink. I don't think they should have the Silver Crown rating based on our experience.

"Contracted Pink Eye at this hotel, travel with caution"
TripAdvisor user rating 1 out of 5

.My boyfriend and I traveled to this hotel in order to hike in Sedona. Prior to this, we were following strict stay at home orders, but this trip was in order to celebrate completion of my first year of medical school. When we were checked into our hotel room around noon, we were shocked to see that a half-drank bottle of wine and a bag with someone’s clothing was in our room. We alerted the front desk and no additional cleaning was offered or offering to move us to a new room. We spent the day by the pool on the property which had a large amount of children running around and no cleaning staff. The following morning, I woke up with a red swollen eye, later diagnosed as bacterial conjunctivitis (aka Pink eye), which can be spread by pool water and unclean bedding and appears as early as 12 hours after infection. I was not aware that this was serious infection until about 4:30PM, at which time the local urgent care clinic was closed. Given the Corona virus outbreak, we wanted to avoid the ER, so we made the decision to check out at 5PM and travel back to our home town to seek urgent care. Unfortunately the front desk staff were not understanding of the situation, and unconcerned with the fact that we contracted this on the property, and even insisted on charging us the nightly resort fee in addition to charging us for the night we could not stay. The urgent care found I had a severe case of bacterial conjunctivitis, and after contacting management to report the incident, we were given back only the nightly resort fee, but not the additional night cost. I believe this was because they did not want to admit guilt in the matter, as their cleaning protocols were clear not up to standard. IF YOU ARE CONCERNED ABOUT CONTRACTING ANY DISEASE, ESPECIALLY CORONA VIRUS, DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL.

Best place to shelter in place. only drawback ...no pool or hot tub access. Shut down due to C-19. staff is very friendly and helpful. There are still a few places on-site for take out. We enjoyed breakfast from Secret Garden
