"This property has potential once it is renovated"

This place has real potential, and I can see why Hilton purchased this property. Before I arrived, I read that Hilton was slowly renovating this property. It is in a great location in Sedona! Unfortunately, the room my husband and I stayed in was old and worn with 1970s dec and particle board doors, an enormous ironing board taking up space in a room under 200 square ft., and retro curtains. As a Hilton Diamond member, I received a free night, which I decided to use at this property, while also booking a paid two-bedroom suite since there were six in our group. In reading the room size of the free room, I did know that it would be small - less than 200 square feet. Somehow, I missed that it would be a 'full' bed, not a queen or a king. (I know a full bed because I have an antique full bed in one of the bedrooms in my house). For two adults to sleep in a full bed, I must admit that it was tight! If you have claustrophobic issues, a studio is not for you and another person! Also, the rooms scream 1970s decor, so if this is not your thing, please be advised. Onward to customer service. I am going to chalk it up that the front desk representative and the manager had a bad day before I arrived on Tuesday. Before arriving, I saw the property was not booked, and there were many rooms available. Upon checking in, the representative did not offer an upgrade. Therefore, I kindly asked if an upgrade might be available (since I had seen that 10 minutes before checking in there were plenty of rooms available). The representative then looked at her manager beside her. I was informed that the hotel was fully booked. I understand that this property probably wanted to hold some of the renovated rooms for potential last-minute walk-ins for profit reasons. Most of the time when I check into hotels, the representatives address dining/food options onsite. The only reason I am fully aware there was not a breakfast option in the morning is because the manager answered an incoming phone call at the front desk while I was standing there to check in and informed the caller the hotel did not offer breakfast, but they could walk to a nearby cafe. I have no idea if the hotel has any food options as this was not relayed to me. Upon reaching the room, I realized the desk representative did not discuss Wi-Fi/Internet. Fortunately, I have stayed in enough hotel properties that I knew how to connect. Upon checking out, I asked for a receipt to be emailed to me. Since I booked the rooms through the Hilton app, I was shocked when the representative said they did not have my email and would need to obtain it in order to send receipts via email. If you have any type of Hilton status, do not expect it to be recognized at this property. I despise writing reviews, but I thank people who do take the time to write reviews because it helps me with decisions when planning trips. Anyway, I feel that my thoughts have already been shared on this property from my comments above. The main reason for booking this property is location! Otherwise, do not set high expectations for your stay. One day, when Hilton renovates this property, I am sure it will be wonderful as there is so much potential!

"Looks nice from the outside but"

As a vacation club, the property is sprawling with different units, and it’s very confusing. There’s no signage to show you where to go and they actually told me the wrong C unit, because you’d think that all of C would be in one space but that is not the case so I’m lugging my bags around for 45 minutes and moved my car twice, The main pool and the hot tub are being worked on. Then I get to the room and there’s no elevator to the second floor. I walk in the room and it’s pretty dumpy! Old peeling wood, stains on the walls, an old fridge propped between old wood cabinet.

"We like this resort."

This is our 3rd time going. We really like it. Location is central with plenty of shops and restaurants in walking distance. Grounds are large with onsite restaurant and good pools and gym. There is miniature golf and game room for kids. The property is old and we like the vibe. They are upgrading rooms gradually and they are nice, not luxurious. Do not go to the Grand Hilton 90 minute presentation you are offered unless you really are interested in their program. They offer a "free" 1 week vacation voucher through a third party to sit through the presentation. Your "free" week will have limited availability and undisclosed costs that are substantial. Ours was through Odenza Marketing Group. Google it before accepting.

I was lucky enough to stay in an updated room and really enjoyed the hotel. The new room was comfortable, fresh and modern. We cooked in the room and found the little patio quite nice. The spa was a pleasant surprise and I enjoyed the hotel tub, the steam room and sauna each day. Nice addition to my experience.

"Fabulous experience! Impressive service!"

The entire facility was spotless and beautiful! The room was huge and kitchenette fully stocked. The staff went above and beyond. From extra towel I needed at the pool to the random deck of cards I wanted late night, Tim, to the sweetest waiter ever at The Spoke and Wheel. I felt absolutely pampered. I would absolutely return! I only got to stay one night so I didn't get the enjoy facilities other than pool and restaurant but the spa, games, and gym looked just as amazing. You could stay a week and still have things to do right on site
