Free Things in Park:

There is a lot to see and do at Dollywood; to get the most bang for your buck, come raring to go! We highly recommend downloading the Dollywood app, which lets you know up-to-the-minute information about ride times, special promotions, exclusive offers, and show schedules.

Speaking of incredible entertainment, Dollywood is known for its variety of shows and entertainment throughout the park which features the best of country, bluegrass, Southern gospel, and Appalachian music. These live performances, like the standout ‘Forever Country’ show, are completely free.

Military Discounts:

Did you know that you can receive a 30% discount on a one-day Dollywood admission ticket as a member of the US military service? Dollywood is a firm supporter of military families and can even assist you in upgrading to a discounted season pass if you wish to extend your visit.

Promotions:

Always be sure to check the official Dollywood promotions page before your trip, as there are often special seasonal events and promos going on which can score you discounts on Dollywood resorts, parking, and even priority park access.

Parking:

Forgo the $20/day rate for parking on-site and instead catch the local trolley, which will take you from Pigeon Forge to Patriot Park and then onto Dollywood for $3. If you happen to be staying outside of Pigeon Forge, parking is free at Patriot Park, and shuttle to and from there will only cost $2.50.

Water:

Although you cannot bring your own food or snacks inside the park, you can bring your own water bottle, and Dollywood has plenty of free refill stations scattered throughout the park.

Food:

The food at Dollywood is finger-licking good, and there are some more moderately priced dining options such as Granny Ogles Ham n’ Beans. Nonetheless, if you are aiming to stick to your budget, take advantage of your entrance stamp, which allows you to re-enter the park at any time throughout the day and pack a cooler picnic or snack to leave in your car.

Bring Your Own:

Another way to embrace your budget Dollywood vacation is to bring your own:

  • Stroller
  • Poncho/Rain Jacket
  • Backpack/Storage Device

All of these items can be purchased inside the park ($13-16 for a stroller rental and $10-15 for a locker rental), but you can easily avoid these charges by planning ahead.
