The LEGOLAND Discovery Center New Jersey is brimming with interactive activities themed around the beloved LEGO bricks, ideal for kiddos ages 3-10. The attraction is not guided, so kids can use their imaginations and simply play! However, to ensure your visit goes as smoothly as possible, you'll need our LEGOLAND New Jersey tips.

The indoor LEGO playground inside American Dream Mall Attractions in East Rutherford, New Jersey, is a great stop for kids who may not be as excited about shopping as the grown-ups. In addition, you'll find other fan-favorite attractions perfect for kids, such as Nickelodeon Universe and DreamWorks Water Park. Why You Should Go

An approximately 3-hour play experience awaits inside this indoor LEGO attraction! More than ten themed build and play zones encourage kids to let their creativity run wild and imagine what can be with LEGO building bricks. If they want some guidance, the Master Model Builder also provides tips in the Creative Workshop to spark new ideas.  

There is more entertainment in store! Additionally, LEGOLAND boasts LEGO-themed rides, a 4D cinema featuring LEGO characters, and a MINILAND replica. A classic interactive ride is the LEGO-themed train ride called Imagination Express. 

MINILAND is a LEGO brick re-creation of famous New York City and New Jersey landmarks. This display alone is made of over 1.5 million LEGO bricks!

To help you plan your day, take note that the attraction is a 3-hour experience. Typically, LEGOLAND opens at 10 a.m. and closes at 5:30 p.m. on weeknights, with extended hours on the weekends. Since the schedule varies, be sure to check it before you go!

Where to Eat

Outside food and drinks are not allowed in LEGOLAND. However, American Dream is overflowing with dining and snacking options galore. So, plan to fill up before or after you play!

The choices are virtually limitless. Grab a burger at Five Guys, then wash it down with a milkshake at the Oreo Café! Or, start with a taste of the South at Kelly's Cajun Chicken and end with a perfectly sugary donut at Dunkin'.

Transportation & Parking

Taking a car to LEGOLAND? You'll park at American Dream Mall Attractions. There are multiple places to park here. However, parking lot A will be the closest to your attraction of choice. You won't have to pay for the first hour of parking, but every hour after that costs $3.

Pro Tip: If you are coming from New York City and want to avoid the parking lot chaos altogether, the NY Waterway has a convenient shuttle that will take you straight to American Dream!
