"Great stay!"

I was a little worried since I’ve seen a bunch of mixed reviews for this place, but our family had a wonderful experience. We stayed 7 nights. It was so easy to get things delivered to our room, we used the texting service. People were friendly when we ran into them. Checking in was easy, the pool we went to - the one with a slide, Boulder Hill or something like that was awesome. Overall super wonderful stay and we have the chance to go back, we will!

"This place is absolutely horrible. They bait you into a timeshare and you can’t get out don’t believe me check BBB!"

This place is absolutely horrible. I recently became a member of the Hyatt vacation club after my pregnant wife and were being highly pressured into making terrible life time decision while on vacation so they get you good the tactics are slimey they smile in your face knowing that you will regret the decision once you realize what you have done! It’s is impossible to exit this timeshare so I will make it my duty to warn all new comers not to make the same mistake while enjoying your vacation so you don’t have to go through this nightmare. I literally have work early morning but I couldn’t sleep because I’m think about how much money they will be taking from us. If you think I’m being dramatic go check out their bbb complaints!

The grounds and accommodations were excellent. The resort was family friendly, very diverse, and the golf courses allowed for golfers at ALL skill levels. We enjoyed our stay, and found this resort to be one of he highest values we have experienced through the RCI program, spanning 20 years.

"Bad First Impression from One Person"
TripAdvisor user rating 2.0 out of 5
Reviewed April 14, 2025 NEW
This was my first visit to this property, and unfortunately, my initial impression was ruined by the mediocre service at the front desk. Despite multiple staff members being present, when I was called up and greeted the lady with a "hello," I was ignored. Not the best way to greet Hyatt members (currently Globalist). The lady, whose name I believe was Chloe, simply asked for my cards and had me sign some papers without any explanation or pleasantries. She then drew some circles on my map to indicate where my room was. Meanwhile, I could hear other staff members explaining things like the activity sheet, the location of the market, and engaging in friendly conversations with guests. I assumed Chloe was having a rough day and tried not to let it bother me. However, when I drove up to my mountain villa, I found a large area barricaded due to construction. The view from the room was of a construction zone, with drilling noise clearly audible. Clearly, there was no “mountain view” Chloe had not mentioned any of this. She could have warned me, but she didn't. I went back to the front desk with my child and mom. It’s not walking distance so we’re driving in my car. I explained the situation to another staff member, Aija, who was fantastic. She searched for a mountain villa for us and informed me that it wasn't quite ready but that I would be alerted as soon as it was. Aija was super helpful. While waiting, I noticed Chloe (who checked us in earlier) explaining documents and informing another guest about a fire alarm test near their room, advising them not to be alarmed. It wasn’t friendly, but informative and much more than I had received from her. It seemed she was being very selective in her service. I was appalled by this level of inconsistency. Later, I checked back at the desk at 3:55 PM, as I had not received a text. Nick, who was also fabulous, assisted me with the keys, helped me find the room, and provided all the necessary information. This experience highlighted how one bad service, and one good service can significantly impact your visit. Aside from this, the property is great, with plenty of activities for kids. My only complaints are the lack of internet connectivity and the need for more attendants at the pools.

"Great timeshare with many activities for all ages!"

We had a fantastic time. The kids loved all the scheduled activities and the splash pad, pools and playground were a hit! We enjoyed the theater and the music under the lights with bbq dinner. We lunched at the Canyon restaurant and enjoyed it. The golf was fun and very beautiful. We took full advantage of the jacuzzi's as well! I think some folks who were unhappy with the food choices didn't understand this resort is a timeshare with full kitchens! Timeshares are designed for families in mind who cannot logistically or financial eat every meal at restaurant. The Welk is a timeshare which is run now by Hyatt.
