We do like staying at Hilton properties because they are clean and comfortable. This one was also right at the beach and very pretty. Nice pool and courtyard. Room was spacious and clean. Only issue was so many added on fees/costs - from parking to a myriad of taxes, add about $100 more per night to your estimated costs.

Great location and accommodations. Andrew at the front desk is the best. He and the rest of the staff were always there to assist us. The resort is directly across from the beach and nearby great restaurants. We highly recommend staying here.

We enjoyed ourselves. The room was great, we also enjoyed the breakfast buffets (3). I would be remiss if I didn't mention the staff, who were all friendly, helpful, and concerned. This was our first stay at the HGI Carlsbad Beach. We have stayed at other Hilton properties many times in the area: The Cape Rey Inn, Hilton Del Mar (several times) and the Hilton Garden Inn Old Town (twice). We've never had a bad experienced with any of them. I wish I could say the same for all of our Hilton experiences. We've stayed at Hilton poperties all over California and in Washington, Idaho, Utah and Colorado. Most have been good experiences. We had two notable exceptions. The first was two years ago in Seattle at the Doubletree Inn at SFO Airport. Fortunately it was only for one night. The worst of all was the Hilton Santa Barbara Resort What should have been a luxurious stay in a five-star resort was instead a trying experience in a semmingly second ro third class property. I left with the impression the staff hated their jobs and management was indifferent. Thank goodness for places like the Hilton Garden Inn Carlsbad Beach! We will be back soon.

I have a disability and the room with the role-in shower was the nicest handicapped room I have stayed in anywhere. There were enough grab bars in the shower so I felt safe. Even with two double beds, there was room for my rollator and scooter with room to get by them. Staff were very helpful.

Very nice hotel with a fantastic location. The staff was very friendly and house keeping was above average, cleaning every day. On-site restaurant could have more options and the gym was rather small but there are great places to eat nearby and I didn't go there for exercise so it was allright. Only real complaint would be the size of the refrigerator very small.
