"I found our place in orlando"
November 2018
I'm terrified of ferris wheels, guys! But let me tell you...the ICON is the most pleasant, most beautiful experience that happened during my orlando trip! At the very top, not only was the view spectacular, but I got engaged last week on the icon. The ICON will forever be our place now and for that I'm so grateful. Totally recommend.

I am HORRIFIED of heights! As I was being buckled into the swing, tears were pouring down my face! I couldn't open my eyes as we swung above Orlando! It was the longest 2 minutes of my life... three hours later, once it got dark, I did it again! lol!!! Make sure you visit this park! The Wheel is amazing as well. It allows you 10 minutes to relax and unwind from a busy day!

As tourists we found this was a great way to get an overview of Orlando and to appreciate where things are in relation to each other. The views, in my opinion, are quite scenic and as we attended on a clear day you could see Kennedy Space Centre. Each pod as 2 iPad’s/tablets in them with significant points of interest identified on them - you can click on these and find out more information. They are scrollable so you can find out what certain buildings are a full 360 degrees around you. We attended as it opened on Saturday morning at 10:00am - and we didn’t really have to queue.

Was I nervous going 40 stories up in a little box, yes. But what a great experience and I did it again. It did not feel any higher than looking out our 12th floor hotel room. You can get a drink (beer and wine - I had a mimosa) but you don't need it, it is just fun to toast at the top. The wheel never stops, you get on like an escalator so there is no Stop and Start jiggles. The beautiful car is so supported it doesn't even feel like your moving. There are two video tablets to explain what your seeing. It was over cast so we could not see the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean but we could see Kennedy Space Center which is on Merritt Island on the east coast above Cocoa Beach, Wow. So even if you are afraid of heights, don't rule this one out.... you can sit on the built in seat in the middle if your nervous but I bet as soon as you realize your moving and don't feel it, you'll be up and looking around. Enjoy
