Centrally located in Orlando, Universal's Cabana Bay Beach Resort is minutes from Universal’s Islands of Adventure and Universal CityWalk. This family-friendly resort is within close proximity of Hollywood Drive-In Golf™ and Universal’s Volcano Bay.

Make yourself at home in one of the air-conditioned rooms featuring refrigerators and iPod docking stations. 40-inch flat-screen televisions with cable programming provide entertainment, while complimentary wireless Internet access keeps you connected. Partially open bathrooms with shower/tub combinations feature complimentary toiletries and hair dryers. Conveniences include phones, as well as safes and coffee/tea makers.

Dip into one of the two outdoor swimming pools or two spa tubs and enjoy other recreational amenities, which include a lazy river. Additional amenities at this resort include complimentary wireless Internet access, an arcade/game room, and gift shops/newsstands. When we arrived at our room the bathtub was dirty at the bottom, the grout surrounding the bathtub was black, the shampoo bottles had black dirt on them, the metal part surrounding the shower was broke off, and the shower curtain had stains on it as well. I addressed with the staff and they sent someone the next day to clean and the only thing that was different was the shower curtain was changed. When we ate at Bayliner Diner, some of the female staff was extremely rude and acted bothered with any questions another customer or myself had. A few days later our toilet was clogged. We messaged the front desk at approximately 3:15PM on Monday and were told maintenance would come to correct the issue. Maintenance arrived at 8:30AM on TUESDAY, the next day. Overall the hotel seemed dirty and the staff was not helpful in addressing our concerns. We will not stay here again and will advise family and friends not to stay here again.

Excellent hotel option from Universal Studios . This hotel is right next to Volcano Bay so if you are planning on going to the water park, definitely book this resort as there's no beating the convenience of having your hotel within walking distance of a water park. Shuttle serves run from the hotel to all parks every 10 minutes or so. The hotel has good pool but we just went to volcano Bay instead. The hotel also has good dining options so you won't have to worry too much about food.

We spent a whole day of our vacation without leaving Cabana Bay except to eat lunch and never ran out of the things to do. The pool with the waterslide is fantastic, the lazy river is beautiful and relaxing, and all the pools are heated so we enjoyed them even though we visited in December. The service is excellent at both the bowling alley and the arcade. My kid also had a great time making s’mores at the fire pit. The food at the diner is not good but it’s relatively affordable by theme park/resort standards, and the atmosphere is fun. The bowling alley food is delish. Didn’t try the restaurants at the pools, the bar, or the ice cream shop. The rooms have a little wear and tear but they are so cute and have everything you need. The suite was perfect for our family of three. Beds and pillows are comfortable. Rooms are clean. Bathrooms were set up so multiple people can get ready at the same time. The front desk clerk who checked us in was so helpful and found us exactly the type of room we wanted with a gorgeous pool view. My one complaint about the resort is that it’s hard to talk to the front desk after checking in as there are long lines and the service line on the room phone goes to a non-local third party. It would be nice if there were a concierge and/or a dedicated employee for already checked-in guests. The overall vibe and atmosphere of the resort is fantastic and they go all out with the mid-century theme - the property is beautiful and you feel really immersed in it. The shuttles to the parks come often so we never had to wait long for one. Overall we absolutely loved this resort and would probably choose it over Universal’s more expensive resorts even if money were not a factor.

Would NOT recommend staying here . They do not clean your rooms . Not only do they only clean every other day , they do not even commit to that . Been here on my 4th day and after a long day of coming in to our room from at the parks the room is still not cleaned . Now we have to wait until house keeping turns up in the night . Very disappointing.
