Overall it was a good experience staying this past week. My only complaint is how far we were from the main lobby. My phone said I walked over 1800 steps to the lobby and back to the room in building 7. Long walk for morning coffee at 6am. Yeah there is a keurig thing in the room, but really who trusts the cleanliness of those things? We are in are late 60s...just rude to start the day that way. Not that we can't walk as we did walk over 10 miles each day of our stay. Maybe a coffee station at the pool?

Very, very long, check-in and checkout lines- Took us 45 minutes to check in. It was an hour to check out because they spent an exorbitant amount of time trying to find paperwork and IDs related to each coach who stayed in the rooms. All was provided at check in and lost by the hotel. We were there for a tournament and have given this hotel thousands of dollars in business over the years. None of our parents, players or coaches will be back. Every interaction with the front desk and reservation staff was bad. We travel often and have never come across the incompetence in staff that we experienced here. We were highly inconvenienced without apology. Instead, we got “It’s not our problem. It is what it is.” The manager was zero help. I urge you to NEVER trust this manager or staff with your safety or experience. Cabana Bay has lost the business of 5 major high schools and their families.

"Mixed feelings, cabana bay is great in areas and poor in other's."

We stayed here for 2 weeks in jan/feb. Check in was great, Customer service from Mya was perfect, friendly and helpful. Entrance to cabana bay and lobby is reaily nice and well kept as are the pool areas and bowling. Things started to change when we went to the room. Felt very worn out and in need of renovation. Table had chunk out of it and sharp edges, shelf bracket hanging off and a generally tired feel about it. This was really disappointing as in the past we have stayed in the rooms on the other side of the hotel and has been great but where told no rooms where ready on that side. Enjoyed staying here in the past but will probably look elsewhere next time as its not worth the extra cost.

"5/5 we loved it here"

W have just returned from a 10 day stay at universal’s Cabana bay beach resort. We have visited Orlando a few times we usually stay on I drive and drive everywhere. However this year we took family with us and for ease of getting to the parks and the facilities after doing some research we decided this was the place for us. We booked two standard rooms - we contemplated upgrading but as we had planned to be in the parks as much as possible decided not to. On arrival we knew we had made the right decision. The lady on reception was lovely so helpful - on check in she asked if we wanted inter connecting rooms - we said it wasn’t necessary but if we could be close by that would be great. She then said well I’ve just upgraded you both to suites and they are interconnecting - which was really kind of her - she then gave us so much info of where to park the car and all the amenities and times. Our rooms were lovely - we were in the continental building on the ground floor right next to the hideaway pool area. Our corridor was connected to the bayliner diner so we were so close to everything. Both pool were lovely and clean with ample seating facilities and plenty of clean towels the staff were amazing at keeping these topped up. We only used the bayliner diner once for lunch and it was nice - the kids said the tenders were great. We only ate here once as we wanted to try a lot of different places. Every member of staff you met asking around was pleasant and welcoming. The buses to the resort were constant and a really helpful amenity. We were incredibly close to the walkway to volcano bay which is exclusive to this hotel. Would I stay here again - absolutely without hesitation - the rest of my family said they would too. I’m jus sad to be home already

"Not the experience we were hoping for..."

We were really excited to stay at Cabana Bay. We were celebrating our daughter's 30th birthday and the trip had also been part of a gift we gave our granddaughter for Christmas. The resort looks so nice in the pictures and videos we viewed prior to our arrival, but when we entered our family suite it was in poor condition and there were dirty handprints from previous guests on the sliding door between the living room and the sleeping area. There was also long hairs on the drain in the tub and the blankets on the beds were scratchy, thin, and cheap. This is the first review I have ever done on a Resort hotel, and I am only doing this review because it was such a disappointment for the money it cost to stay there versus the quality we experienced, not to mention the nightly parking fee of 26.00. The Bayliner Diner also gave me cold chicken fingers and fries. It was all around not the experience we had hoped for.
