I only had one evening in Moab after my fantastic trip from Denver on the Rocky Mountaineer Train. I found a trip called "sunset at Arches National Park" at the Moab Adeventure Center. I checked the reviews and they were good so I booked. I arrived in the afternoon after being totally pampered on the Rocky Mountaineer train. I am something of an amateur photographer, and was looking forward to photographing Arches in the changing light. Chris was our guide. Chris immediately made sure we understood what important an opportunity we have to preserve places on this earth for future generations to learn about and enjoy our world. His knowledge of history and geology is extensive and he shares it in a fun manner, so you learn and have fun while learning. I am happy to say I do have my picture that will be blown up, framed and placed in a prominent place on my wall of fond memories of my travels. My only regret is that I did not allow time to partake in other experiences from the Moab Adventure Center. Did I mention they even picked my up and returned me to my hotel?

Moab Adventure center really ruined our vacation! We had the Sunset with Dinner tour on a Thursday evening and got a call Tuesday morning saying they will have to change our Sunset tour to the light show dinner tour that the captain on the sunset boat tour had an emergency and we were ok with that. Thinking everything was set, not the case at all. Rushing back from Vernal to make the tour plenty in time called where we were supposed to have dinner and get on the boat which is a different location than Moad Adventure center found out there wasn't any reservation for us for the dinner or boat tour , was told to call Moab Adventure center who we made the reservation with. Talked to a guy and he said he sees where our tour got change and that they somehow screwed up the reservation that they change, and he put me on hold and talked to his manager to see how to fix it . Came back told me that they really messed up but his back was to the wall and that Moab Adventure Center could not do anything to get us on that dinner cruise and lied and said that they are having phone problems and they can't call Canyonland by night and day where the dinner and boat ride leaves from this location. For me to call Canyonland by night and day and beg to them to see if they could get us on the tour and dinner and tell them that Moab Adventure Center messed up our reservation. I lost it and said I paid and made this now change reservation almost 6 months ago you change it, and they should fix it. Well, he said there is nothing they can do and hung up on me. Could not believe this is happening and how this company did not take responsibility. Now we lose dinner and a tour that evening so we went to Canyonland Night and Day and they were fully booked that night so I told them the awful story about how we were treated by Moab Adventure center and our evening tour was ruin and was trying to make for another night with them for the dinner tour and the wonderful lady told me to wait a minute, she walk away came back and told me she will get us on the dinner tour that night she hated on how we got treated and she will do everything in her power to fix the problem. She gave us a discount because we have gone thru them before, and I just started crying. I couldn't believe she care that much to make sure our plan wasn't ruin. We were treated by the whole staff so great and go front row on the boat. Found out they were family on and locals and this really makes a difference when you are on vacation. So shame on you Moad Adventure Center for doing nothing to fix what you did. To any vacationers who want the boat ride tour and dinner go directly to Canyonland by Night and Day they care about their customers unlike Moab Adventure Center.
