"The Sunset Hummer Slickrock Safari is not to be missed!"

My wife and I took the Sunset Hummer Slickrock Safari tour from the Moab Adventure Center. Neither of us are particularly adrenaline junkies, but this tour attracted us because of how unique it sounded. Put simply, our expectations were absolutely surpassed. The tour Hummer is about as rugged and capable as you can get, and has seats for four passengers above and behind the main cabin that give a unique door-less vantage point. We’d highly recommend sitting in one of the two edge seats if you want a bit of an adrenaline rush. Our driver and tour guide, Chad, was, in equal parts: an impressive and professional driver, a knowledgeable guide, and just an overall funny and genuine guy. We were amazed at his incredible driving skills as he took the Hummer up, down, and sideways on what looked like impossible terrain on the Hell’s Revenge trail. Even through some hair-raising hills, descents, and slides, we felt incredibly safe in his capable hands. Chad definitely went the extra mile to make the experience memorable for us and our co-passengers, keeping us all on our toes with some amazing maneuvers in the Hummer that had us screaming, laughing, and yelling with delight throughout the tour. There were even some moments of local knowledge sprinkled in which added to the richness of the experience, and opportunities for some unique photos from what looks like the top of the world. This experience isn’t for the faint-of-heart, but it’s something you’ll remember fondly for the rest of your lives. Hot tip: bring a GoPro or similar action camera that has stabilization and a wrist strap - you definitely don’t want to be messing around with your phone on this tour! Thanks Chad, and Moab Adventure Center for this unique and fun experience!

"UP, DOWN, ALL AROUND, AND SAFE"

We enjoyed our off-the-road driving adventure very much! Our Guide made safety a priority yet that did not stop the "adventure" part of our ride. The views were unbelievable! Yes, we had time to take pictures too. We were truly on top of the world looking down at rock formations, water, and even dinosaur tracks. Taking this ride put into perspective what we saw at eye level in the canyons and arches. Our Guide's knowledge of the area added greatly to our ride.

A fun couple hours on the Colorado River. Joe was a fun, informative guide. Lunch was very good at the Red Cliff Lodge. The water was more calm this time of year, which was fine by us. Very enjoyable and would recommend.

"Top notch!"

Top notch! After making reservations we got an email that made very clear suggestions. Guides were personable and fun on bus ride up & back - knowledgeable about the river and surrounding land, all the while skillfully navigating and directing our participation for paddling. Water was low this time of year, so rapids were less than at other times of the year experience. We did the full day trip which included a delicious lunch before finishing our paddle. Highly recommend! And get in Joe (or JT’s boat for the very best time!
