"Very affordable “Jewel” set within the geographic crown of Manhattan"

Perfectly acceptable place to lay your head for a couple days while visiting NY. No frills. Not a lot of amenities. No restaurant or shops on property. But there is a nice work area/lounge with espresso/capuccino maker. The rooms are also large by Manhattan standards—king beds with generous work area and full kitchenette. The Jewel is also ideally situated—walking distance to Times Square, Midtown West, Midtown East, Rockefeller Center (across the street) and multiple subway lines. Tons of shopping (Rockefeller Center, Nike Store, etc) and eats nearby. While perhaps not a “jewel” itself, this hotel is set within the very geographic crown of Manhattan.

Super convenient, clean, and comfortable. Location was ideal for my business and entertainment needs. Room away from street was quiet and even was able to keep the window open all night without distractions.

First time visiting NYC, The Jewel Hotel is an excellent location for The Today Show, Times Square, Central Park. The room was nice & clean, shower has HOT water but not good water pressure. The bed was comfortable. It had a great view. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Sean helped us many times with directions and took the time to just talk to us. Leslie also was helpful with directions and arranged a cab to pick us up on departure day. The hotel has free purified water and also offers free coffee.
