To start, the Jewel is located in an amazing part of the city. It is a few minutes walk away from Rockefeller and any needs in the city. I booked this hotel off of recommendations from a few friends. The staff was amazing, friendly, and helpful. They were able to hold our stuff since we arrived around 0600 and check in was at 1500. Everyone we spoke to was courteous and considerate. The room was clean, stocked, and the noise level was more than acceptable being right in the heart of Manhattan. Also, the value we got from booking here was amazing! I will definitely stay here again when I come back to NYC. I couldn't recommend anywhere else after being spoiled here.

I had a wonderful stay at The Jewel. I was very well received, and John took care of everything with great attention. He guided me through everything I needed and did an excellent job. The location is outstanding — right in front of Rockefeller Center and close to many major attractions, all within walking distance. The room was a good size, very clean, and had comfortable bedding. The bathroom was nice as well, though the shower box was a bit small and the water pressure could have been stronger. Overall, it was an excellent experience.

Excellent Midtown location, a block from Rockefeller Center, with nice staff. Rooms are actually decent size for NYC, with very comfortable bedding (soft sheets), ironing board, yoga mat, in closet safe, small Nespresso maker (very much appreciated), also good quality espresso maker/limited teas available 24/7 on the 2nd floor. Lack of mini fridge is a big drawback. Nice bathroom with shower stall & shampoo/conditioner/gel wall dispensers. TV remote didn't work well, and instead of replacing it, they wanted to take it away to charge it for 30 minutes; QR code to control the TV with a smart phone didn't function, free wifi worked well. Window opens.
