"Convoluted ticketing process"

Their procedure for buying tickets is convoluted and confusing if you're on site. You have to scan a QR code, then select the proper tour (very confusing), then a payment method, then (if using a credit card) all your info (card #, exp. date, CVV, billing address, email, and phone). Then, after all that, you get a QR code in an email, open the email, and show the driver for scanning. I initially picked the narrated tour instead of the shuttle, so I had to do the process again, then try and get a refund for my first purchase. Ridiculous!

"Very disappointed"

Very disappointing. With a tour group and we had to wait over 50 minutes to get on the boat and there were two other groups behind. Audio was terrible. Could not make most of what was said. The Christmas lighting was not what it is “hyped” up to be.

"Nice relaxing way to get some history and information about San Antonio"

It's been 40+ years since I did the San Antonio river cruise. My mom and I went and we found it delightful. The narrative of local architecture and history was great. The guide was fun, funny, and informative. Our boat was FULL so we didn't have a lot of leg space but it was not too cramped and we still felt safe in the boat. The only drawback was the guide talked a little too fast. There were details I missed because I was attempting to sort the information in my head as he spoke and before I 100% computed, he was on to the next thing. We went in November during a cold spell so it was pleasant rather than hot and sticky...always a plus. Also the boats are all electric now so there is no motor to hear over and no gas exhaust smell from our or others we passed!

"Night Cruise"

There are a few locations you can pick up the boat. It's about an hour or so ride. The driver tells you all about the buildings and facts about the Riverwalk. We did it at night when everything is lite up. It was a lot of fun. They take a photo before you get on and when you get off they offer it for $35.

The barges cover the route through some of the nicest areas of Riverwalk. We enjoyed our ride very much. Some prefer the „cruise” with a meal but we liked our option better. The guides provide explanatory information in a humorous way. They do try to get you taking a photo before the trip, it costs $35 but it is optional. Tips are practically obligatory but that is normal for US. Very enjoyable activity. Will partake in it every time we are in San Antonio.
