"Nice cruise with plenty of holiday lights on either side"

Our captain who donned the cruise was very funny and provided history and information about multiple buildings, installations on either side of the river. Queues to get into the boat though was a lengthy 1+ hour one since we went during holiday season. Restrooms available right next to ticket counter.

"Not worth the wait of 1.5 hours or more."
TripAdvisor user rating 2.0 out of 5

Although we tried to go on the cruise on December 27 and January 1st, we were unable to ride on either date due to the long waiting times. We had small children with us and could not stand in line for 1.5 hours or more. I feel Go Rio Cruises oversold tickets. When we attempted to obtain a refund for our unused tickets, we were denied. This left us frustrated and disappointed. The fine print did not mention any refunds. All in all, it was a bad experience.

Captain Rob had excellent boat driving skills! He was so funny, kind, and intelligent! He would pass around marshmallows and whip cream for our hot cocoa if needed . And would sing the XMAS songs with us. So thank you to our excellent driver Captain Rob.

Totally enjoyed our tour of the river. Our captain was funny and authentic sharing a lot of good history about San Antonio and buildings. Highly recommend buying tickets on line to avoid the line to buy tickets.
