Quality Hotel Fallsview Cascade in Niagara Falls, ON

I just returned home and have to say that this was all around an undesirable stay to say the least. Letw start off by saying that this is the third time staying at this property and I have seen a continuous decline. In no means was expecting a high end stay, but at $200+ pn (which is the most I’ve paid to stay at this property) I would expect an average standard. The first room that we were given was really nothing like the pictures stated for the room I selected. Spoke to front desk and they relocated me to another room” free of charge.” And to be honest that room wasn’t that much better. PROS - Easy check-in - Room change with more or less easy to be done - Free buffet Breakfast was adequate, and the staff was friendly - Location is great for walking to attractions and casino - No parking fee ( but limited spaces) CONS - the first room was in a sketchy stairwell on its own separate from all the other rooms beside and utility room - wobbly floor tiles in the bathroom - Warped flooring in the bedroom - Outdated baseboard heaters - Draft coming in through the hole in the wall that houses the air conditioning unit - Hole in the wall for electrical/cables - Lighting wasn’t the best - curtains being held close with odd pieces of Velcro - Stains on office chair in room - Second chair in the room was very wobbly - Very limited parking and secondary parking lot is at the skyline tower - If you are not staying in the tower, be prepared to climb a lot of stairs if you were staying in the centre building which was never stated - Outside door is kept open so hallway outside your room is cold, which has a draft that comes under the door - Then while you can hear what’s happening and all the other rooms, including above and below The icing on the cake is that when I got home, I realized I forgot something on the bed in the room. I realize that was totally my fault for not checking the bedsheets to make sure that nothing was forgotten on the bed, but when I called the hotel, they said they never found anything when I know I left it on the bed. But that’s their karma not mine. In all honesty, if you need to stay in the area, there are other places you can stay for the similar price or just a little bit more for a better experience. This was my absolute last day at this hotel.

The place is a little old and needs some updates but the room was good and the breakfast had lots of choices. An easy walk to the falls

We booked two double queen rooms for 3 nights at end of Sept. Our rooms wasn't ready at check in and waited for over and hour. There was no sorry nor complimentary anything for the delay. The front desk never welcomed us nor thanked us for being Choice members. No complimentary water at this property for Choice members either. Housekeeping are lazy and does the bare minimum for what they call cleaning. The rooms are not cleaned daily. Our bathrooms smelled like dirty gym socks on entry. It seems the shower curtain was not changed for sometime and had an unplesant odor. Tiles were broken on the stairs and left there waiting to trip someone over. The exhaust fan in bathrooms did not function. The AC did not operate at optimum levels to maintain comfort level. Maintenance does absolutely nothing to fix minor things around the property. This place is falling apart from whitin. Whomever the managers should be fired for direlection of duty. One room had no telephone and when brought to front desk attention the guy shrug his shoulders and gave no response. While this property is within walking distance to the falls and Clifton Hill it leaves alot to be desired.

WHAT A DUMP. Guess which picture was the website picture and guess which picture is reality? The gap under the door to invite critters in was the chef’s kiss to the $350 we spent for one night in this hole. Which included a $94 RESORT FEE. This was the motel two-story part of the hotel. We didn’t bother with the free breakfast needless to say. I feel well and truly cheated. Avoid it fellow travellers. Minus ⭐️

I was surprised with how nice this facility is. The main reasons we booked here were price, free parking, and free breakfast. Things are pretty pricey at Niagara Falls. This turned out to be a gem. The room was spacious and clean. There was a small balcony with a view of the American Falls and the fireworks at night. It was within walking distance of everything we wanted to do, even crossing to the American Side. It was also next to the Skylon with the revolving restaurant. I highly recommend.
