Mint House St. Petersburg - Downtown

My wife and I visited St. Petersburg and Tampa for our honeymoon this past week and Mint House felt like home. We enjoyed the view of the Edge District and it was conveniently close to many of the restaurants, coffee houses, and bars we wanted to frequent. We will absolutely be using Mint House again for our getaway spot.

New, modern facility w a full kitchen (no oven, but there is a toaster oven & stove top). Walking distance to multiple restaurants & cool shops. Short uber trip to Vinoy park and downtown St Petersburg. Staff is most friendly & accommodating. Would definitely recommend & stay there again.

I loved the location and amenities at the hotel. It has a very urban feel with so many entertainment and food options. As a runner I loved my early morning routine of heading down to the pier. I visited the nearby grocery store to stock the fridge, and appreciated the option to do laundry if I wanted. The balcony was a definite plus. I found the Mint to be totally different from any other hotel I have stayed, and it will be my ‘go to’ place from now on.

Located in the lively Central Avenue neighborhood, this hotel provides a good place to stay, especially for an extended stay. The rooms that we have had here offer the basics -- a comfortable bed, a dresser, sofa and TV -- as well as a reasonably stocked kitchenette with a washer and dryer. There is a pool and there are bikes for use, Don't expect much in the way of other services, however. Other than a staffed front desk (24/7) and valet (during the day), nothing else is offered. None are needed, however, given the number of dining options in the area. We had a little problem with the front desk. The desk attendant agreed to hold our bags during the day after we checked out. When we came to retrieve our bags, no one was at the front desk. We called the number at the desk. But whoever was supposed to be at the desk had forgotten to take his phone; the number we called was a phone sitting on the desk. The desk attendant showed up about 10 minutes later. Apparently, he had walked off site to get some lunch.
