"Good times at Busch Gardens Tampa"

We had a great time at Busch Gardens Tampa. They have some awesome rides and all kinds of animals in the safari. The only negative I had was the safari ride was discontinued and you now have to pay $39.99 to go on a tour. We did the all day dining, it was totally worth it between the three parks.

"Busch Gardens"
July 2019
I bought tickets for Busch Gardens of Tripster which included the all day food package. I took my two nephews that are 14 and 15 years old. The food package was half the price it would have been if purchased at the park. So it was a significant savings, and the wrist bands for the package allowed the boys to run around the park all day without having to carry money or hook up with adults when they wanted food and drinks. Since the temperature was in the upper 90's, I'm sure we saved money just on the drinks before even adding in the food. I also save money on the admission fare. I would definitely use Tripster again.

"Horrible parking experience, Old park, Not for young kids!"

My family of six visited in hot July. I have kids age 9 and under. Two kids are in a double stroller. I purchased the more expensive parking pass online before we went as I have little ones. This was to put us closer to the entrance. After arriving 15 minutes after Busch Gardens opened, we were told there may be no more of those preferred spots available. We went through the parking lot as directed and tried to turn toward preferred which would have taken us under the bridge. A parking attendant refused to let us and another car behind us go to preferred even though we had the parking paper. When questioned, she said - well, someone will refund you the difference. We parked in “c” lot and walked to the entrance. We saw the preferred lot -WHICH HAD PLENTY OF PARKING SPACES OPEN, and we even SAW SPACES FOR PARENTS WITH STROLLERS!!! No one refunded our extra money that we had paid for preferred parking!! Once I the park, of course it was hot, but unlike other amusement parks, there were no fans, no water mists. The park is old. Not a great place for little ones. If you ride roller coasters, then yes- you will like this. However, then animal habits were run down (I’m sorry but nowhere the quality experience like ZooTampa or even Animal Kingdoms safari). Sesame Street area had local fair like rides. Overall - Very disappointing and beware of spending more money for preferred parking and not being allowed to use it!!

We have had a love/hate relationship with Busch Gardens in the past, usually due to the fact that the majority of the park closes if it rains, but today it only rained for 10 minutes and we had an awesome day! We visited on a Wednesday in October, and the most we queued for ANY ride was 10 minutes max ..... the queue was posted at 45 minutes for cheetah run when we arrived, but we simply skipped it and came back to that ride last and then it was 5 minutes! I loved the pace of the park today, with plenty of animals to see and little trails to walk ..... it really was quiet and we had a great day - my only negative would be that the food wasn’t that great ... we ate in the dragon food court, so would probably try somewhere different next time.

Park opening was 10am today. We were thinking Disney crowds and arrived at 9am at the parking to find only 3 cars in front of us! Parking opened just before 9.30 and by the time we paid, parked, got on the first tram and arrived at the park entrance it was around 9.45. A word of caution - there are no restrooms outside or inside the parking lot, only at the entrance ! We bought our tickets online (a good deal for 2 parks). We had printouts with us but also had taken a screenshot of the voucher on the Busch app and used this to access the paper tickets you need to get from the self service machines near the entrance. Since we had only 1 day we bought the all day dining $25 and unlimited quick queue (excl. Tigris) for $20. We found good food (BBQ) for lunch and made the most of the cold drinks and choc chip cookies we could get every hour to keep us going. Definitely got our money’s worth. Even though the crowds were light we also saved enough time every ride to consider the quick queue a good deal as well. We ended up keeping our phones in our small backpack (we had a lightweight one that folds into it’s own pouch) after the first rides - they were not at all happy and kept turning off. Where there was only one vehicle on the track at a time we left the bag in the slots at the start of the ride. For the other rides we spent $8 for an all day locker ticket where you can move from locker to locker with 2 hours max at one place. We decided on a mix of rides and animals (we found we need to give ourselves a break after riding a few intense rides in a row). Because Tigris was not in the quick queue ticket we went there first. The back part of the park didn’t open until 10.15 / the rides 10.30 but we didn’t realize until we got towards Tigris and found the path blocked. In hindsight we should have gone back to the entrance and ridden Cheetah, Montu etc (Cheetah in the end was our favorite!) but at that point weren’t sure of crowds so waited. Tigris as the first ride was pretty intense unless you and your stomach love reverse Gs! SheiKra was airy and high but didn’t have as intense turns. Kumba was really intense due to tight and prolonged turns. Congo river rapids was a great break (bring a poncho though!) as was Falcons Fury as long as you don’t mind heights and Sand Serpent. The train through the safari park was great too (early or late in the day is best for viewing) and the animal rescue show fun (and air conditioned!) All in all a great day - definitely much more to see than can fit into 1 day (but maybe best if not not back to back days ....)

This park is pure fire. Sheikra is outstanding, Kumba, Tigris and Montu all thrillseeker paradise. I couldn't bring myself to do Falcons Fury not a fan of them rides but if you are this has to be the best in the world. Prices on the food wasnt too bad either and they have craft beer. Shame it's an hour from orlando but free shuttles from icon park included in your admission ticket just reserve your space in the bus online.
