As a retired meeting planner, booking four and five star resorts and hotels, this hotel is an excellent beach front property. Pros: Atrium lobby, large room with separate sitting sitting area, ocean review balcony, very good hot and cold sit down breakfast with a server and ocean view at an extra charge if book a low priced room or included in room rate at a higher priced room, nice pool area, friendly staff, reasonable room rate. Cons: an additional $15 charge for self-parkin parking, on property garage located about one block walk from hotel, $49 resort fee even in winter months when cannot use outdoor pool.

"Professional Staff but overall a generic MYB experience"
TripAdvisor user rating 3.0 out of 5

My experience at this resort was...well..it was fine. The fact that I find Myrtle Beach a bit tacky and generic (I was raised there and so I get to complain) may taint my point of view. I give props to the woman at the front desk who checked me in. She was incredibly kind and professional. The only other interaction I had with staff was the bartender. He was perfectly friendly but in a rush to close when I got there. No complaints really about that. I totally get wanting to end your shift. The architecture of the building is much like the architecture of many hotels in MYB. Visually--just awful and designed solely to pack as many people in as possible. The odd design (I am assuming) was meant to cater to people who want a water view. Fair enough. Let's just say that the design of the hotel (from the building to the decor of the interior) is functional but hardly inspired. Should you stay here? Sure? It's right on the beach and a bit secluded from the madness of the boardwalk and other areas that can get a bit sketchy at night. Are there "fancier" hotels in the area....eh...not really. Is there any way that this hotel stands out among its competition....eh....not really. My lack of enthusiasm has nothing to do with the staff. I guess I was just hoping for something with a little more character.

"Don't Waste Your Time"

The Hotel is very dated. The room I had was decent. Nothing to write home about. The view from my room excellent. However, if you stay here, just know breakfast isn't free. Its around $20 and includes an omelette station. Both times I went, the buffet was a little disappointing. Eggs are powedered, standard breakfast meats, etc. Some of the food had been sitting for a while and had that dry look and texture to it. I added parking thru the app. Upon checkout, I saw I was charged twice for parking. I had to have that corrected. Once I check out and leave the property, my card was charged again for parking, and for bottled water in the room that I didn't drink. Im an Hilton Honors member. I would never pay for water. Especially $10 for a cloudy ass bottle of water. It was the audacity that they would try and charge me after checkout. Glad I locked my card. I've stayed at a couple franchises of Hilton and you have to be careful. A lot of them are privately owned, which allows them to nickel and dime you to death. I don't think Hilton will be around for much longer. Especially after Minnesota. I will never stay at any Hilton property again.

"Disappointed not a resort to my standards."

I was very disappointed in this hotel. It's a resort that advertises a heated pool, which I was told after check in its a half a mile away from the location. There are several pools outside that are not heated and a small hot tub. The other hot tub that's located inside is also 1/2 mile away. They advertise free breakfast, but we have not found out where thats at, and a gym and message were not told where anything is. They only provided the room with 3 towels, no pool towels, and a very thin sheet on the bed. When I called the front desk to ask for a blanket, they said they would send one up. After an hour, there was no blanket, so I went downstairs and asked the front desk to only find out they had none. She said they were out. Then, after 10 minutes, she came back and said they could send up a spread. And some extra towels. The gym is also licated 1/2 mile away. There is no free breakfast as shoen on the site. As far as this being a resort, I say it's not. The king-size room is very small. The refrigerator is a small ice chest no freezer. No microwave. And the TV has very few channels. Everything seems to have an extra charge. I would never book this hotel again. It's so clean. Old and it's on the beach. Each room does have a veiw. I'm just very disappointed in this Hilton.

When we arrived at the hotel, the first night we went to the hot tub and it was disgusting we came down the next morning a little after 9:30 a.m. and it was not clean there was trash all in the hotel and around pool area and we mentioned it too the front desk manager however we was here for three nights and they did not clean it at all. The fridge in our room is so small you could hardly fit anything in there. The ice machine was broken the whole time on all floors. They wanted to charge us $5 for a cup of ice at the restaurant. There is no microwave in the room you have to share one microwaveper floor. The drain in our room was not working, you had to hold the drain. They limit the coffee and toilet paper they give you. The manager says he will help but then never helps. I would not recommend this hotel.
