"Perfectly located hotel"

The hotel was really nice and the staff were friendly. There was a bar in the lobby and a snack machine. They have no continental breakfast, however, they have a restaurant in the hotel that serves breakfast and dinner. We did not eat at the restaurant because there was an IHOP right across the street. The room was nice and clean but my only complaint would be that the toilet was so low to the ground. I am 62 and had a hard time getting off of it. Also, the bathtub ledge seemed really high. If you have mobility problems, I would suggest a handicap room if they have one. The hotel was perfectly located. Everything, including the falls were within walking distance and we were out walking at different times of the day and night and never felt unsafe.

"Great hotel in good location"

Stayed here for 2 nights 3 & 4 of September 2025. We were in room 1402 which is on the 14 floor, the room is very big with 2 I would say king size beds, there is a large tv, fridge, iron and ironing board and a free room safe. You get a good view of the town and can see parts of the falls, it was very quiet in the evening and the room comes with free A/C and WiFi. The room was cleaned the two days we were there and the tea and coffee was topped up. Down stairs in the lounge there is a small Star bucks and a small bar, and all the staff that we spoke to were friendly. A nice hotel and would recommend it.

"Horrible Experience - Bugs, No Accountability, and Zero Hospitality"
TripAdvisor user rating 1.0 out of 5

Horrible Experience – Bugs, No Accountability, and Zero Hospitality We had one of the worst hotel experiences at the Doubletree Fallsview Niagara this past Friday night. After returning to our King Suite, we discovered a full infestation of gnats and fruit flies in the bathroom, bedroom, and living room. Disgusting doesn’t even begin to describe it. We immediately called the front desk. Maintenance came up, confirmed the bugs, and reported back. Instead of moving us to a comparable room, the hotel’s “solution” was to send someone to clean it up. Who in their right mind thinks it’s acceptable to clean up an infestation instead of moving a guest? We paid for a King Suite — not a downgrade, not a bug-filled nightmare. When I asked to speak to a manager, the so-called supervisor Alex showed up. She saw the bugs herself and still dismissed it, claiming gnats and fruit flies “aren’t invasive” and are just “part of life.” Completely unacceptable. Bugs flying around your bathroom and bed are not a part of any normal guest experience — especially for the prices charged here. Our two young boys were freaked out by bugs flying everywhere, and instead of empathy, ownership, or accountability, Alex doubled down with a dismissive, cold attitude. She refused to refund us. No care, no effort, no resolution — just excuses. By far the worst “leader” I’ve ever come across in hospitality. We weren’t looking for anything free, just what we paid for: a clean, bug-free room. Instead, we left the hotel and drove home in the middle of the night because staying there was unbearable. Doubletree promotes values like Hospitality, Integrity, Leadership, Teamwork, Ownership. Not one of these was demonstrated. If this is how Doubletree Fallsview trains their staff to handle problems, then it speaks volumes about their standards. To the general manager and executives — would you accept a bug-infested room with your kids and then be told “that’s just part of life”? I doubt it. Shameful.
