"DISNEY'S MOTEL 6"

Made reservations almost a year ago and had trouble from the time we checked in. My wife needed a walk in shower because of mobility issues and we had to wait .. got there at 2 so ok no problem.. WRONG ! Around 5 PM we were still without a room , we had a dinner reservation at Magic Kingdom and had to cancel. Went to desk and talked to executive, response ..our room wasn't passed by engineering..whoops.. finally got downsized room away from rest of family ( grand babies) and $125 credit for Disney Junk Once in room we left for Magic Kingdom.. came back and inspected shower . Shower head was broke , curtain didn't fit .. room was tight for a scooter and didn't work . Asked for room change and got the "we don't have speech " They fixed shower head and that was it. Motel 6 has nicer larger rooms than this resort. This was our 38th trip to Disney and by far was the WORST . Breakdowns extended into the parks .. and employee moral and experience is awful

"Absolutely perfect!"

We stayed for 7 nights, checking out on 1st November. We were in the 50s section, building 2. Our location was a 10 minute stroll to the hippy dippy pool, classic hall & skyliner. The skyliner was a huge plus! You arrive at Caribbean Beach Resort in 5 minutes and from there it’s another 5 mins to Hollywood Studios, maybe 10 mins to Epcot. We used the Skyliner constantly and only ever had to queue once. The food hall & store (Everything Pop Dining & Shopping), laundry, arcade and 50s bowling pin pool were all great - very clean, fantastic cast members. Provided us with all we needed. Our room was perfect for 3 of us and spotlessly clean. House keeping came every other day. Our 12 year old son adored the pull down Murphy bed, his dad & I were very comfortable in the queen. Plenty of storage, a fridge, coffee maker and a separate vanity and bathroom. Spot on for our needs - we really did not want to leave this place. Would recommend to anyone wanting to stay on Disney property. The fact that this is a ‘value’ resort didn’t show one bit. Quality, convenience and comfort - what’s not to love?

"Late Sept/Early October 25' stay (1 of us had scooter)"

My Sister planned a trip for the 2 of us to attend the Halloween party. It was the 1st time we had been there together since we were both in school. She had taken a trip there and used same hotel around same time last year. I have been to Disney several times through the years and this was my Sister's 3rd time. My sister has difficulty walking long distances and we rented a scooter from Scooter King this year and she said it made a big difference. They delivered and picked up right at hotel. My Sister booked a preferred room but due to construction, we ended up in accessible room on 2nd floor of 1st 50's building overlooking the bowling pool. Used that pool several times, was open 10-10 daily. It was tight in elevator with scooter for her, she had to back in and also tight in room to park scooter. There are no outlets outside to charge it, but sometimes left it in open, covered hall. We arrived about 11 am so couldn't check into our room yet. We just left our suitcases with outside luggage service after quick check in to get our Disney magic bands (linked to our dining plan, Photo plan and opened room and for lighting lanes too), also our mugs to use for water and soda refills (There's 24 hour station near Hippy Dippy pool). Accessible room tight, had table that we folded and left down for my sister to use Murphy bed. Nightstands on each side and in middle. Bathroom good size. They provided refillable soap, shampoo, conditioner. Plenty of hot water and good pressure. We let housekeeping in every 3 days, but aren't high maintenance that we need clean towels daily. It was nice to have the Skyrider to go to Epcot and Hollywood studios. My sister was able to get on and off easily with attendant assistance. The bus drivers were helpful too, we also rode on monorail. The boats we didn't because no all accompany scooters.. The resorts and parks are pretty big and I tolerate walking long distances so I got my steps in following my sister everywhere for a week. Disney Springs is where we saw Cirque Du Soleil (well done) the 1st afternoon and has many shops and restaurants. The resort grounds seemed nicely kept and heated pools clean, lifeguards friendly, plenty of chairs, some umbrellas and lots of towels. (don't need a card). Remember, we're from New England and water will always be warm to us. No gym or hot tub at this resort. Not there for those features, pools were fun. It had a moderate crowd that week and some showers every day but used to Florida so just brought Disney parkas (online). Big resort, spread out, lots of cool Pop Culture things of course. I've stayed at All Star Resorts, Moderate resorts and Dolphin/Swan through the years. This hotel had the amenities we needed, Mears round trip transportation and the Skyrider was nice to have too. Breakfast was fine, plenty of seats, again there off season. Dining plan, snacks/meals/quick dining can be confusing at times really pay attention. Otherwise, would recommend. Good for families, reliable buses/Skyrider. Quirky themes....

"Terrific"

An absolutely great experience. Booked a room just in the last week so I could spend a couple of days with my college-aged daughter. We are both annual passholder members. Arrived around 1 PM and the staff at the front desk was terrific. They moved us right along and the room was even ready! The room was nice and clean, and the trundle bed is a great way to make the most of a smaller space. A perfect spot to grab the Skyliner and head to Epcot or Hollywood Studios. We had some really bad weather yesterday that closed the Skyliner, and the Disney staff actually had a bus waiting outside Epcot to take people staying at Pop Century back to the hotel without any wait at all. We had breakfast in the main restaurant and it was both delicious and hearty, along with being very quick. Every staff member we encountered from the room cleaners to the valet, the restaurant to the front desk were 100% friendly and helpful. Booking on TripAdvisor was cheaper than directly through Disney, and there were rooms available that were not available directly, so from now on, I will be checking here first.

"Fall break at POP"
TripAdvisor user rating 4.0 out of 5
Reviewed October 28, 2025 NEW
We stayed here 5 nights earlier this month as part of our fall break trip. We stayed in the 80s section in building 7. Overall we really liked pop. Our rooms were very clean. Beds comfortable and pillows were way more comfy than the Loews property we stayed at universal on our trip (and it was a much more expensive property to stay at). The few things that were why this isn’t a 5 star review: -walls thin. You can hear your neighbors. -the electrical outlets weren’t very tight so your cords are loosely in them and we found a couple things not charged due to it falling out -a few gnats in room Overall we liked this property. It’s going through renovations right now. The food court and gift shop were nice. We loved the nightly movies. You also can’t beat skyliner access. Would stay here again!
