Fun for the kids and very educational. Dinosaurs are life-size, which makes it very engaging and really impressed my nephew. The museum provides a lot of information that feeds a child’s curiosity about all things dinosaurs.

Description

from Dinosaur World Florida
Dinosaur World is Central Florida's only attraction dedicated to the giants of years past. The 20-acre theme park is conveniently located between Tampa and Orlando on Interstate 4 and a must see for families exploring the area. Spend your visit walking amongst some of the most feared predators ever to walk on the planet before heading off to explore the outdoor shows and entertainment including the Dino Disguise Show, Excavation Cave Experience, and the all-new Triviasaurus Rex Game Show.

Practice your skills as a paleontologist at the area’s largest Fossil Dig before you head over to the Boneyard Excavation to try your hand at uncovering a prehistoric skeleton sure to add a little roar to your day. And don’t miss Dino Gems Mining Operation where everyone uncovers a keepsake to treasure. The park also features a colossal skeletal playground for kids that’s large enough to contain even the loudest pitter-patter of little dinosaur feet.

"Family Fun Day"
January 2019
We had a Family fun day with a teenager and a 10-year-old. There was lots to see and do. Lots to explore. The staff was absolutely excellent and shared dinosaur facts while you were walking around and exploring. The scenery is absolutely beautiful while the kids were having fun, my husband and I enjoyed holding hands walking through the beautiful outdoor garden areas. The scenery and the creeks and yes the dinosaurs made it all a beautiful adventure. Lots of hands on activities that both the children really enjoyed

"A fun time!"

We were pleasantly surprised! We were expecting a run down tourist trap, but the place is immaculate! The grounds are really well kept and everything was super clean. Unfortunately parts of it were closed due to COVID, but we still had a great time with our 3 year old. He really enjoyed sifting through the sand to find the gems. We will definitely be returning, hopefully when everything is open!

This was the coolest little Attraction! We stopped off for gas on the way to Clearwater and saw it across the street and figured we would wait out the rain there. I am so glad we did! It was affordable and just as much fun as any other activities we did in Florida including universal studios! Lots of activities and meat things to see. Just make sure to bring big spray!

Immaculately clean grounds and shop. Superb signage and education. Covid restrictions have interactive portions closed, yet because it IS outdoors it was a something-to-do-during restrictions destination, plus we could bring our dog. This is a time machine escape to your childhood when dinosaurs roamed the earth fantasy come true. Even in the Florida heat the gorgeous jungle vegetation keeps you pretty shaded. We very much appreciated not only the dinosaur history identifications, but the foliage information as well. The park offers the range from "ooh look at the big dino!" to deep paleontology data and fossils display. It exceeded our expectations and we look forward to returning.

My nephew, his wife and kids were down in March and we all went to Dinosaur World. The kids loved it and were so excited to see all the exhibits and to dig in the sand like an archeologist! They also mined for gems which they loved! A nice little place to spend the day.
