On our first trip to New York, a one hour trip with Circle Line Cruises was included. This was a fantastic experience and I would thoroughly recommend to all, young and old. The boat is a good size with loads of seats. We chose to sit upstairs on the open deck which was very comfortable. The cruise takes you down close to the Statue of Liberty for excellent pictures. The tour guide providing commentary is very knowledgeable.

SCAM/HARASSMENT/IMPERSONATORS- Men in RED sports jackets posted around parameter told us the boats would only be leaving from THEIR PORT and that the Battery Park tickets needed to be booked months in advance. The port they leave from is OVER A MILE AWAY and the boat wouldn’t arrive for ANOTHER HOUR AND A HALF. They only tell you this once you buy the ticket. More people in red jackets and marathon looking tshirts usher you roundabout the park towards their port, wearing IDs and tshirts and tabling. When we realized the UPSELL OVER TWICE THE PRICE OF STATUE CRUISE we decided to turn around and head back to the park. We were HARASSED all the way back to the park by these employees, feigning “helpfulness” and gaslighting us as confused and lost. When we entered the park, more men are standing along the paths with SIGNAGE FOR TICKETS FOR STATUE CRUISES and direction towards the center of Battery Park and. ANOTHER red shirt man was IMPERSONATING POLICEMEN. We were told that entrance was only permitted if we had pre ordered tickets. When we tried to walk past this man, he PHYSICALLY GRABBED US and blocked us from going past. When we insisted, he FAKED A PHONE CALL TRYING TO TICKET US FOR TRESPASSING IN A PUBLIC PARK. THIS MAN WAS NOT HESITATING TO PHYSICALLY HARASS. We were told we were “acting up,” and would be arrested, even when walking away. Once we appeased this guy by walking around his designated path, there was one more red shirt man before the entry to the fort where REAL TICKETS are sold. DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE. We encountered these people in the morning, but by late afternoon when we came back from our other cruise, they were nowhere to be seen.

"Best of NYC - tour round Manhattan Island"

Great trip entertaining guide - you get to see statue of liberty without having to diembark (guide said bookings for going inside need to be made 2-3 months in advance. Reson for dropping to 2 is the concession photos. If you have any sense do not get them to take your photo. Was sold a digital option - when I got home and tride to download them found that additional payment was being demanded - what a waste! This has made what was a very enjoyable tour really disappinting. Also the website the photos are on is really bad, navigation links do not work. Will not get any attration photos of any attraction if I visit again - will take selfies etc myself.

"Great cruise, the best of NYC"

A very worthwhile cruise. The Tour Guide was very knowledgable and funny. NYC has an iconic skyline, and the guide was able to point out and elaborate on the many points of interest. This was 2-3 hours very well spent. Choice of open upper deck or enclosed lower deck. Drinks and food on board are pricey, and the concessions take full advantage of their monopoly (not that we Brits would ever advise anyone to take their own snacks and drinks on board!) The only tedious part was having to run the gauntlet of photographers before boarding. Not for us - don't they know that we all have mobile phones taking better pictures for free. Here is a suggestion for the photographers - by all means take the photos, and transmit the pictures to the punters mobile phones or email address. Just saying!
