"Bike Rentals Near Central Park"
May 2016
We booked a 12 hour bike rental. The company is located a few blocks from central park and they provide a basket, bike lock and helmet if you want to wear it. Bike riding through the city streets seems scary, but once we got our bikes in central park, it was very comfortable and safe. Central park is so large, that bike riding was the best way to see the whole park. We even rode our bikes to the American Museum of Natural History and walked through the museum. Doing a museum and bike riding through the park took the whole day... and was nice way to feel peaceful in the park away from the city. I would recommend a bike rental if your looking to see the whole park without having to walk all of it on foot.

Tip: They give you a lock, basket & helmet. Close to central park. You can only ride your bike on the streets in the park, not the walking paths.

no courtesy about I.D when I walk in the door with a voucher, just,. we are keeping your credit card sir until I can prove I am me told I could have a basket for my camera, but no. basket Dan has to be a comedian and make fun of all the accents on the tour at nearly every stop. Then there is the cost of the buildings around Central Park, stick to Central Park!! had trouble keeping up with the group what's the rush, My last day In New York was my worst,,

"It was weird"

Let’s just start with it was a very rainy day when we toured. This is not the bad part. The bad part was our tour guide Joel. He was nice but everything he said on the tour was awkward and uninteresting. He spoke often about the things around the park more than things within the park. For example he would share information about how much apartments in buildings would go for, then make some sort of comment that he could tell by the way we looked that this is petty cash for us. The other topic often discussed was the movies filmed in the park. This would be awesome if any of us knew the movies he was talking about, they were popular movies but too old for us to know most of the time. It was also uncomfortable because he would ask a question none of us knew the answer to, I’m pretty sure that no one answered one of his questions the whole tour. Almost every time the question wanted some obscure information. The last and possibly the most awkward we’re Joel’s reenactments, he would take off the mile and scream yell making it hard to hear what he said and just weird. Joel clearly did not read our very small crowd of 6, if you looked around all 6 of us were clearly uncomfortable and had little to no interest in what he was saying. If I was to sum it up my boyfriend and I were looking for a way to leave the tour essentially the whole time. I definitely would not recommend a tour with Joel, but I am unsure if they have other guides.
